Should I spend $924 for a 97 Cu Ft tank?

yourE lol

nope,no need to be a fireman,
im not lol

now,
not every fire station will/can do fills,
some do not have a compressor,
and some will be a richard about it and say no lol

takes a bit of legwork like i said,
and youll hear no more than yes,
but all it takes is 1 to say yes and youre golden
Maybe but your still in that inconvinence factor vs the scuba overall . That 4500 100cf carbon tank is sweet but seems to slip in practical. Ya, a scuba shop may fill it but to there 3000 or so limit so easy everyday top it off your at the lesser cost 3000 psi scuba tank anyway.

To home fill what , hand pump the rest , invest a few grand in a good commerical compressor . See for me its like when does it stop so i can just go shoot a pellet.. cock , load ,shoot, repeat,. Only overhead cost is another tin of pellets.

Oh well I'll leave y'all at it. I guess pcp aint in my future.lol

inconvenience?
a 3000psi scuba tank filled to 3000 wont even get 1 fill to 3000,
and every fill after will be to a lower pressure.

half my guns fill to 3600,
so i wouldnt get anywhere near a full fill even once off a scuba.

a 4500 scba tank lasts longer than youre realizing I think,
i get both my tanks filled about once a month,
sometimes more often depending on how much pesting i do.

don't know why youre attaching multiple thousands of dollars to being able to use a pcp,

my current fill setup::

large 60 min scba $20
ebay pcp fill system for cga347 threads (firehouse threads) $45ish
fills at the fire station $free

ive been getting fills at fire stations for close to 10 years.

and when i moved to the town im currently in,
i think i talked to 4 or 5 fire stations before finding one that would fill,
then they turned me on to another one close by that could fill also.

you dont NEED thousands of dollars in support equipment to shoot pcp.

cant hurt to go and ask some firemen lol
they like donuts and pizza

I actually know a guy who used to be a fireman and also had a neighbor who was one last I asked. So I probably could get at least an introduction. But what I do is to fill my 45 minute SCBA with my YH. There are others who post about filling a "Great White" with their Yong Heng (like Project Forge). It might take a couple runs if you do not add additional cooling. Additional moisture filtration is also highly recommended. But if you keep the temperature down I am pretty sure it can be done. It would probably take at least a 20 minute run to go from 3000 to 300 bar. Takes 15 minutes on my 66 cubic foot SCBA.

There is no such thing as cheap HPA. There are times when you are forced to make bad choices, but in the end, if you stick with this sport, you will spend a lot on your HPA. I'll even step out and state way more than the cost of your guns. It is not a matter of either a compressor or a tank. You will get a pro compressor and more than one tank......take it to the bank. You won't do fills in a scuba shop or a fire house. It is not just the cost, it will be the inconvenience in the end. You will probably buy a cheap Chinese compressor, but that won't last long either.

A tank and then a compressor. For me, I knew right away that PC air guns were not just a passing fad (After I bought my second one) And since shooting is my only hobby, saving for a good compressor, was not an issue. I don't own a boat, or a 4 wheeler or a cabin up north or a $70K Bro dozer.

And really, I saved about a year ($3800) while I got 3500-3700psi fills at two local dive shops to keep me going.

And Now I have air independence and can shoot as much as I want, when I want, both at home and in the field. In the end, it was the best decision I ever made.

If you they type that jumps from hobby to hobby, then it may not be the right choice for you.

The Coltri MCH 6 currently on sale at Nuvair has got to be the best deal going on a buy once cry once compressor. I'm glad I jumped when I did.

If you think it's good thats all that matters .. like i said and how many lectures i got on my hobbies in other things . That pcp i just cant get a grip on . Lots of guns id like yo have then ehen it comes to the support and cost just to shoot it i lose interest fast , real fast. Now i got to wonder how your filling that large a cylinder to 4500. A real scuba compressor ? A young hung or tuxing aint cutting it .. poor little things tongue be slobbering and hanging out trying. Dive shopd won't fill past 3000 . One i know dont.
I fill my 74cf no problem with my Tuxing 032.

I would support Joe B . Good person , great products, great service , AND if you do not support " local" business's they might not be there when you need them .
There are differing opinions on him. Like the products/pricing and basically the service but he took a year to break my Sapsan with a flaky regulator and send me one that flat out sucks. I'd send it back but I may not see it for another year..

Another option is to rent a nitrogen tank. I did that early when the paintball shop started grumbling about filling my "huge" CF tank. I rented from a welding shop. They charged $8 per month to rent the 444CF tank and $35 for refills. It's 6000 PSI so I used the N2 tank to fill my SCBA tanks. Works great in warm weather but they stored the tanks outside and the fills were only 4500 PSI when the weather was cold. This was 5 -6 years ago so not sure of the prices these days. I did this until I got a compressor.

Keep in mind if you use a dive shop for air fills, and if they follow industry guidelines/rules you will need to have your tank visually inspected yearly and they most likely will enforce a current hydro test too. Not a big deal but those items take time where you won’t have the tank. Costs for those inspections vary depending on your locale.
