Great picture, thanks for posting it. I have a 95 vortex with the QT, Love the rifle it hits spot on even with the cheap scope that came with it......when you can hold it on target with the trigger pull. I need to figure out what can be done to lighten that pull. It didn't seem so bad until the HW50S landed here. I tweaked it some when I first got and it helped but when I tried to do more the safety stopped working. The gun would fire with the safety on or off , I had to back it out to where it is now but it's just very hard to hold the gun on point to get through the trigger pull. What is the little screw behind the trigger doing?, it doesn't give a clear picture?

The two trigger screws are 3mm. Remove them and get longer ones. Cut down the new ones just 3/32“ longer. The trigger can now be adjusted as good as your HW30 Rekord trigger.

Yes took the advice or someone on here , that is way more knowledgeable on that that trigger than myself An replaced One of those front screws with a longer 3mm bolt now have a 1 pound trigger 😁😁😁😁 yes yes
1 lb with the power these guns make is awfully light. Mine is at 2 and I’d be scared to go lower!

A friend explained the bit weird, up and back Quattro trigger pull this way:
Put your finger on the trigger. Now slide your finger down until the outside edge of your finger is resting on the inside of the trigger guard itself. Use the trigger guard as your guide all the way through your pull. Easy, very repeatable way to get the same trigger pull every time.

Thank you, I remember now you telling me about the screw trick, I just couldn't find the past comments. I will get new screws and fix the problem asap, Like I said the rifle is a fine piece, it just needs to have a lighter trigger to be a consistent shooter.

Looks to be a true two stage so a 1 lb pull should still have plenty of engagement at rest to pass a drop test. Safety is the biggest reason for a two stage in the first place. You can get a very light crisp second stage while maintaining a safe and bump resistant first stage.
It’s a four lever, two stage trigger like the Rekord. It can be infinitely adjusted. The reason I bump it up a bit is because of the the pin-to-lever tolerances. Not quite as tight as the Rekord trigger. It is the best trigger in its class that I’ve worked on.

They are decent triggers for field use. They are not a Rekord and FAR from. CD TRIGGER. Most people who are trigger zelots are not hunting and doing snap shots or tree rests. They are door jamb jockeys You are not pulling up on a moving target and fallowing trying to wait till it stops with a 8 oz trigger …
I hunt with most of my guns at 1 to 1.5 .. but buddy. They better have a wall and No creep. Or I will junk it.

Although I don't have a way to check it in lbs. it is very heavy even adjusted to the max with the factory screws, It requires some serious concentration to fire the rifle without pulling it off point even when bracing myself, impossible shooting freehand, any hits I get that way is chit luck, I ordered longer screws and will attempt to lighten it up as much as safely possible. I'm not looking to hurt myself or anyone else but as the trigger weight is now I might as well be using a sling shot for the types of shooting I do.
