OH
I am curious, is there ANYWHERE a guy could buy a couple of these genuine Weihrauch Scope blocks?
I see they're listed as an accessory on Weihrauch's site, but cant seem to find them stocked, well.....Anywhere.

I am looking for 1or 2. Any tips might be appreciated.

I wrote Weihrauch and asked. I mentioned they were not available from any US distributor. Weihrauch's rep suggested I should look in UK. I asked if they knew of any Distributors stocking/ordering them, considering I couldn't find any over there in stock, they don't. I asked if HW is actually making these items. No reply as yet :) I think I'm chasing a unicorn.

I have a brother that has just set up a Haas Machining center and CNC lathe in his garage....I'm starting to think these blocks are no longer made and maybe I should make up a batch of my own in the HW pattern?

I'll give Weihrauch at least a thumbs up on the polite replies they've made to my questions. Germans are generally the hardest people on earth to deal with...

Why do you need a scope stop in the first place? Good rings like Sportsmatch properly mounted will hold on most well made piston guns. Well other than the recently made FWB Sport.
Well the truth is I don't like the design of what's on the market. They're all extra high. I don't need a 60mm telescope on my gun. I have yet to find a low profile mount that matches a 30mm objective scope. I have a RWS lockdown on my hw90 and even with the high cheekpiece on the stock I don't get a cheek weld, I get a chin weld. Too high and too much bulk. If I had a good stop I could use my low profile 11mm lynx, Leupold or Zastava rings and get the glass where it should be.

It seems the hw90 has a tendancy to tear out the stop holes with most mounts with pins from what I read. I took the pin out of my lockdown mount and it's not moving, but like I said above I just dont like the height and bulk of the mount. Sportsmatch rings are just as bulky

Build a bushing for the scope stop hole.

Makes the hole and pin a tighter fit and helps prevent that . + If you notice a shift or change you can check it and see if its taking damaged before the receiver is.

Then i guess if i wanted a scope stop block thing i would not care if it's a hw or whoever's as long as ot does the job it's intended to do.

That's actually a good idea you have, only the bushing would take the beating. Only downside is that I'd still be using those bloated Chinese looking high mounts.....i just want some more trim, lower rings for a balanced fit and cheek placement.

Just wanted some factory HW stops to go with my HW's because they're a match. Pins/holes etc. I'd go for some Beeman (EAW?) used blocks if I could find.

Well.. maybe im wrong but if the mounts are moving enugh to to do that damage then there not secured right ..

Not to say i did not have to live and learn on that with my own slippage .. the bishong does make a more positive firm fit between the stop pin size and the stop hole size instead of a 1 inch pin in a 2 inch hole so to say..

Now i got to ask what scope / gun combo are you using for all this . Got to be one of them auto loader springers like a gamo swarm or somthing. A picture may help on whats going on ..

You don't need a bushing or a stop. I had a RX1 which is a Beeman branded HW90. It was running as high as 24 fpe. I used a Sportsmatch DM 60 Dampamount with an Airmax 3-9×40 without issue. This mount is technically a high mount. I had no fit issues. It's not particularly high. I also ran Sportsmatch T04C standard medium rings on it without problems. I went to the Dampa mount only for added insurance.

The Sportsmatch use a larger rolled spring steel pin with adjustable depth. They hold secure without leaving a mark if your smart enough to read instructions. Genuine Sportsmatch rings are made in the UK specifically for 11mm airgun dovetails. Their machining, materials and hardware is light years better than the Hawke knock offs of them or any other cheap Chinese rings like the UTG. And they aren't expensive. AoA and PA has them. I have a set of T04C on several springers over 12 fpe. Including my 19+fpe R1. Not one has moved or deformed any of the receivers. I use the single bolt T02C rings for everything 12 fpe and under.

I think there must be some misunderstanding? I'm not worried about a dampa mount or something similar marring my receivers....
What I am after, is the ability to use slim and low 11mm rings made for conventional firearms so I can eliminate the bulk and high mounting of these airgun scopes. If I had a proper stop, I could. Standard rings will never hold without a stop.

Leupold rimires 4x32. Lynx Leupold 11mm rimfire rings. I want the glass down low. Hw90 at near full power. 24ish bar. As hot as I can get it and still group decently ;)
