177 @100 yards?

First post. Just set up my "know your limits" at 100 yards. 6"-1" ding plates. Took two shots to gauge the wind, and nailed them all with my 177 avenger! Now i haven't been able to repeat it but the wind did pick up and i was able to make it to the 2" target on my second attempt.

Nice. (y)
I need some new / heavier spinners, the one i have, well even if i just shoot 13 grain and at 65 meters or so, well when i hit the paddle are supposed to swing around and wait there until i shot all 4 and shoot the reset paddle.

But i seem to have too much power cuz often the same paddle swing back or one of the others fall down, so even if it is just a 4 + 1 setup, well i need to shoot it 5-6-7 times.
Or just hit at the very top of the paddle, but that is damn hard as that cut the 1.5" or so paddle down to under1/2" to hit.

Nice backdrop you have.

Welcome to the forum. Shooting a .177 in the wind at 100 yards is a challenging endeavor. Looks like you pulled it off well. Nice shooting. I think we are almost neighbors. Well at least not too far apart. I'm in Clovis.

Springville. Yes i enjoy my 177 for the challenge. Also have a 22 TacVenger and a 25 marauder

What would you estimate your hold-over would be at 100 yards?

I am assuming that you are clicking for range and not using hold-over.

When I killed 3 tree rats at 75-80 yards shooting CPUM 10.5 pellets @ 750fps, the drop was between 12 and 14 inches.

Even at 1050fps with a pellet, the drop must be dramatic! (smile)
As far as inches, I'm not sure. I never adjust my turrets. I hold over just under 2.5 hash marks if that makes sense. You can see on my scope reticle the hashes, can't really see the difference but there are small hashes (i call halves) and big hashes (i call full).

Using the Fortitude and scope in my sig, I was almost out of reticle even at 75-80 yards for my 75-80 yards shots to the point that any farther and I would not have had any reference via the scope, even if I could still see the target (Tree rats).

Surprised that you are doing 100 yards using holdover. Good on you!

Noice. Farthest kill with my 177 was 135 yards. Farthest with my 22 avenger was 160 yds. Definitely not consistent at that range. About a 4" group passed 150yds on both calibers.
I've just recently gotten into the pcp world; whole new ball game lmao
Been trying to not get too far into the rabbit hole right waway by still utilizing my lower powered setups
