These types of hunts are more like the clearing of a structure with one bad guy hiding in it. Even though this bad guy isn’t armed, the percentages are high that there could be drama. Trust me I know. I don’t usually keep checking on a hunting topic but this one is different. A lot can go wrong or you could be a hero. Hope you switched to a very close zero with your gun. Either way, your experience with a situation like this as long as you keep it honest could be educational for those who find themselves in a similar situation.

Great advise about checking zero. I would test you sights at various ranges from 10' to 50' (or max) and know the hold over or under for each range. You can miss by 2" or more depending on the range and your scope's mounting height. I know from 1st hand by not taking this into account. The last thing you want is to be trapped in the attic with a wounded pissed off coon.

Let's wait til after he gets out of the hospital and the dust from the court settlement and his wife lets him back on the computer to explain how the mutant alien raccoon met it's demise before we speculate. For all we know, he's still stuck in the attic being fed through a garden hose. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Or, he really could be looking for a blue laser.....
