Tuning RTI AMS Priest 2 Performance .25 cal tuning

Hello,

I just upgraded my .177 RTI ARMS Priest 2 Performance to .25 cal. Also I added a heavier hammer.

I'm shooting the JSB King MK2, 34 gr, and the best velocity that I can achieve is 700ish fps. While my goal is to get it up to 900ish fps.

Do you have any tips?

Thank you.
Check the transfer port, many .177 have a screw in restrictor.

Hello,

Thank you for the tip.

So the restictor would be lace where the end of the barrel (where the transfer port is facing down) in the chassis of the gun?

Or could you please use the diagram to point it out for me?

Screw #6, the one that retains the barrel into the breach/chassis.
Remove screw #6, remove the barrel.
Directly below where screw 6 was, on the other side, is the transfer port.
Check there.
Good luck.

You aren’t going to need the heavy hammer. The assist valve uses 60% less Hammer than a standard valve. You’re going to over hammer the valve causing it to coil bind and valve lock reducing your speeds with the bounce. You could also experience hammer bounce causing your gun to get loud and blurbee. With the possibility of machine gunning air. While at the same time it wastes air and lowers your shoot count.
If your gun did not have the restrictor in it. You’re gonna have to turn up the Regulator, to get the speed that you want. I personally have ran the .25 caliber with 34gr jsb’s’s at 900fps with the regular set at 150bar using the light hammer. Getting great shoot counts and getting a nice clean sharp sound.

His is the Priest 2... Predecessor to the Prophet 1... He will be fine once the transfer port for the 177 is removed.

The guy is asking about a Priest 2.
It's not a Prophet. No assisted valve.

Let's just help the guy, step by step.
