It was another great day of splitting cards at the 200 yard range. IMHO, the Diablo Rod and Gun club in Concord CA is the best air gun range in northern California. The RSO's and other air gunners are great to be around. I can honestly say that I haven't met a airgunner I did not like at the Diablo range.

I 3d printed a better card holder which holds oversized card stock. Now the cards pretty much stay in place after splitting, or partially splitting them. I also taped on some short wind flags to help me read the winds.

Both top cards took about 12 shots each to split. The top right card was a perfect split, down the middle. The top left card was partially hit and split 4 times! The winds picked up a bit and the 2 bottom cards took a ton of shots to split them.

Possibility of splitting a card at 200 yards is not a matter of accuracy, but a matter of number of tries.

Eventually after shooting A LOT of pellets, some will hit it and split it.

Different story is shooting at a distance at which you control the accuracy (85 yards for sure, 110 yards, maybe).

So does the outer circle of the holder serve a purpose other than anchoring the top slot of the card holder? Does it act as a centering ring to line up in your scope?

You had some fun. Good for you. I shoot beer cans at hundred yards with a 8fpe HW30 springer. It's a lot of fun stretching a gun out to silly distances.

Having a backdrop certainly helps us both walk in the shots. Even if it's more a game of chance, 200 yards is a long way for an air rifle.

On my new Arkansas property I plan on whacking a beer can at two hundred yards with one of my more powerful springers. It'd be a hoot to get it done in 177!

The circle design was just a random thought so it's a one piece design. I think I will make separate top and bottom card holders to make even more to print and store in my shooting bag.

Doesn't matter if you split the card in 3 shots or 30. You are having fun doing it.

Sometimes all I do is walk that empty soup can down the driveway just as far as I can get it keep going.

It is all in good fun.
