Beeman Extremely rare and interesting Beeman P1

I recently purchased this P1 from its original owner. It clearly has a 20th anniversary serial number. The original owner stated the grips shown here were on it at purchase and he knew nothing about any anniversary edition and that he had always assumed it was early production because of the serial number. We all know that the earliest P1s had serial numbers starting at 300000 and came from San Rafael. This being from the Santa Rosa address. I sent a message to Weihrauch asking if this gun was indeed 1 of 150. Weihrauch answered yes and that it was likely an anniversary gun. Here is where it gets interesting. Beeman catalog 17 shows not only reduced sale prices on the anniversary guns but a new dual tone model with standard grips. The grips are very plain without the usual badges or diamond pattern around the screws.

A close look at the new model in the catalog shows a P0 serial number. Interesting is the fact that it was also only available in the same two calibers as the anniversary offerings. From this information I have deduced whether right or wrong that Beeman was likely unable to sell all 150 anniversary guns and dumped the rest as a new model. Any experts out there that can prove otherwise? Either way like the title says it’s an interesting P1.

My guess is that it is one of the dual tone models and not an anniversary edition. I hope it wasn't a 20th anniversary edition and the grips were replaced. Probably never find them again.
The response from Weihrauch proves it is 1 of 150 that were meant to be anniversary guns. the fact the grips match the one in the ad. The original owner says it came from Beeman that way. I have no reason to doubt him as he wasn’t trying to pass it off as anything special. That along with the fact that I can read P0 as the start of the serial number in the dual tone add is how I came up with my theory. I bought one of the #17 catalogs on eBay today. When it arrives I will hopefully be able to read the full serial number which I am betting will be P0 followed by less than 150.
