HW/Weihrauch machining a dove tail ?

i see no rifle mentioned but why would you put a 11mm on when you could use a Weaver instead
now any concave base will self-align itself on a round surface, your job would be to get it to TOP DEAD CENTER on the tube and because of the large surface area just epoxy it on
that is if i understand this correctly.
i was thinking of the mount on the breach box the barrel is mounted in on a break barrel instead of common practice of mounting the scope on the dovetail on the back end of the rifle avoiding possible barrel droop . the scope would break with the barrel so maintain the same plane , this stemmed from a discussion of the barrel not locking up exactly the same every time .

Just fix the droop and lock up. It's a lot easier than messing with custom machine work and trying to find a springer rated scout scope. Which alone will likely be very expensive. There's no real magic required to fix droop and lock up problems once you're familiar with the designs operation.
the original idea came from the iron sights that are mounted this way on the barrel so POA/POI does not change so why not a scope mounted same position ?

The idea is sound. I'm not saying it's bad idea IMO it's just not a practical approach when the other variables more easily fixed than machining new parts. But hey if you have the means to do it. Go for it. It'll be a unique modification.

okay that should be easy
you can get both Weaver, my choice and dovetail bar stock
you have front sight screw holes to mount it

your idea is sound now that i understand it and you could get a scout scope for your project

i have these dovetail rails and they are very nice years ago they were on sale for 4 bucks and i bought some for unknown projects
they also came in 4 inch but they are out of stock
