Does the manufacturer rate it for use on a springer? I am not familiar their scopes.
My 95 has killed two UTG scopes, my 30 does not kill scopes.
Not sure where your 50 will fall, but I would not put an expensive scope on it unless it is specifically rated for such.

I had a Vortex Crossfire II on an HW50s for awhile, but it was the 4-12 version. It did fine on the HW50s but didn't fair so well on an RX2. The Beeman RX2 broke the reticle in the Crossfire. Vortex replaced that scope with a brand new one.

Sent hawke a email concerning the vantage line of optics. Here is their reply.

Then rated for what ? Weak uk type power or full jackhammer usa power?
Thing is there only as good as the warranty . No questions asked lifetime or email tag hoping for any warranty.
Like hawke or athlon you got fair recourse to at least get the scope fixed or replaced even if you got to move it to a less recoil gun .. not rebuying so to say.

It’s was hawke USA I spoke too. I’d imagine American springers are what they are talking about.
I went with the vortex tho. Think the VIP warranty is way more robust.

To be honest you put one on and it holds up or it dont... then the better warranty pays off if the latter..

Well got the scope and it appears to be dead in the box.
The up and down turret works but doesn’t go high enough.
This is a target at 20years with the elevation maxed out.
Guess I’ll be using that vip warranty

Well I measured the height of the rings and they are both the same height.
And the barrel seems to have 0 droop.
I used a wrench to get everything snug to spec.
Can’t figure out why the adjustment has to so extreme to get it to zero.
I have literally no more adjustment left and 1.5” low at 20 yards.
At 35yards it’s 3” low.

The more I get to thinking about it, the issue has to lie in the rings. Going to disassemble everything and re mount the scope and try again.

You may not see any droop but I'm betting there is. From what I've read the airmax is rated for springers not the vantage.
