I notice a lot of the same where I am. Generally in those videos guys are hunting farms where the allure of food to the birds is very powerful and keeps them coming back. Plus I’m sure they don’t hunt the same spot for days and days in a row.
I think that’s one of the reasons they’re so adamant about retrieving the kills.

If you have good permissions it is a good idea not to shoot the crap out of them.
I have two good quality ones and I shoot them no more than every two and when my business is swamped it may be two months.
The first time I shot it we hit it hard for two days. The pigeons were really stupid. Even with my light shooting the pigeons have not gotten any tamer.
Both owners understand that the value of having me there is not so much how many birds I kill but reminding the birds that it ain’t so safe there

I see a lot of videos of guys pesting or whatever at the same locations with plenty of targets. When I shoot a bird or squirrel they clear the hell out and don’t come back for some time. I’m talking like weeks what gives?
Some animals learn quickly and move along. I haven’t seen a chipmunk around my barn in years. My Gamo Urban devastated them and the rest moved away. It really depends on the locationm at the farm where I’m currently killing them, the smartest birds, well maybe not so smart. Come into the hoop house for an easy meal and are rudely surprised. I set a 15 minute timer and typically average two sparrows every 15 minutes or so. Depends on the day and weather conditions. This time of year the sparrows catch it hot, come winter the starlings will...
