All of the rabbits or squirrels that didn't have the other side of their skull, nor the raccoons that dropped with a twitch or two on the spot show otherwise.

How is the back side of a head gone not much damage?? FWIW I've also used hollow point slugs and pellets. Also passthroughs, also a a lot of damage. So I'm not anti slug/pellet hollowpoint.

I've had far too many Ground Squirrels up and run away after a 33.95, a solid THUNK, they should be down for the count but NO.... I'm now using Hybrid Slugs and they go down, none of my takes are shorter than 50 yards. Maverick .25 VP 935fps.

Pretty much everything I shoot is under 50 yards, pellets do what I need, Going longer range I'd give slugs a whirl for sure. I'm not partial towards or away from any tool.

The Horsemans permission is dead friggin' flat, the little buggers see movement and they are gone, so it's all long shots. The other day was my Mav. .22 compact with hybrids.
