HW/Weihrauch HW50 bad barrel?

I bought a HW50, from AOA, about 18 months ago. Shot it some but could never get it to shoot well. My HW97 and Tony Leach TX200 kitted gun got most of the attention as they both are great shooters. I decided to put a Vortek kit in the HW50. Gun was much smoother shooting but accuracy just not there. Shoots about 3 inch groups at 30 yards and 2 inches at 15 yards. Tried about 15 different pellets. All shoot about the same. 30 shot strings over chronograph are within 15 fps. Decided maybe l just can't shoot a break barrel. Got my brother in law to shoot it for a month. He handed it back and said "there is something wrong with that gun, it shoots like crap" . So, after testing, polishing, trying every pellet l can get my hands on, l am declaring l have the only bad .177 HW50 barrel in existence 🤪. Anyone have .177 or 22 barrel they would like to sell. Thanks,Don

The pivot is VERY tight. There is zero play and takes good pressure to break barrel for cocking. Pushed pellets thru, very light rifling marks and firm but not heavy pressure in choke.
Very tight isn't great either. With the gun cocked CAREFULLY tighten the left side screw just until the barrel doesn't drop under its own weight and then loosen a hair. Then tighten the nut on the right side until the barrel stops swinging free again. I dont even know if mine are tightened beyond 15inlbs. It really doesn't take much.

Its safer to do this with the spring out but I'm lazy so I don't unless its already apart. Just be mindful of the trigger and you'll be alright.

I have seen bad Weihrauch barrels but it's very very rare. What's your velocity for each pellet? Also newer 50s suffer from tremendous barrel droop and any scope run maxed out won't group.
