Added a Texan to my line up.... .257 named Freak.

I scored this .257 off the classifieds on Wednesday and had Tom at High Pressure Pneumatics ship everything else NDA and it all arrived in less than 24 hours!

I had been itching to shoot it and I wasn't waiting for the rain today so I took Freak out to zero her.

Well, I forgot my Allen wrenches so I literally had zero elevation adjustment and was using the top of the ep5 reticle at 25 and 100 yards 🤯🤪😅

That didn't stop me from testing and tuning though, the @alkincompressors kept everything tight with an es of 7 fps while slinging these beautiful 85 grain #avsslugs boat tails at 975 fps for 180 fpe.

The first group was during the tuning, the far left was figuring the hold at 100. The second group of 4 speaks for itself.

Sub Half moa at 100 yards lolol. 😳

It is hold sensitive but I like it. It's like she's talking to me. Needless to say...

Freak is a killer and it's time to take her the distance

Nice shooting.
I shoot my AVS 75 grain at 990 fps and AVS 85 grain at 1020 fps.
I split playing cards at 200 yards with these settings.

Maybe I will adjust and see if it likes then even better a little hotter!, thank you!

Wow...Amazing accuracy....257 definitely most accurate out of the Texans....I love your reg setup.... I have the same one ....but I like your plumbing setup much better..... So I take your barrel is smooth and uniform? No leading?? AVS seems to make excellent slugs from your results😀

I cleaned it tonight after shooting about 90 shots this afternoon and looking down the barrel it does look uniform. I will say though maybe I'm just spoiled but I instantly said omg this needs a polish as it is no where near the mirror finish inside my Evol barrel.

As far as the reg and plumbing, the reg did fantastic and goes really well with my airtanks plus fill/cascade setup.

My next goal is finding the perfect bipod for this that has a wide stance and has 45* positions forward and backwards, I like having that ability depending on what I'm shooting off of. I have my valdada anvil but that's a bench or flat flat ground only bipod. Has no angular adjustment forward or backward.

I was looking at the wb4, fc4, and the ckye pod , but looks like people complain about play in the ckye pods.

I love my F-class Remple bipod. Only problem is placing your order from a guy in Canada and then waiting for it to arrive. Great machinist! I'm experimenting with a some 3d printed "sled" feet to eliminate any movement after the shot. If you end up getting the Remple, I will mail you a set for free to try out. I'm not into selling them, just like inventing things.
