My UTG 4x32O/A

I bought two of these scopes about two years ago and the one I have on my RWS 34 has failed, specifically the windage turret doesn't work anymore. I called the company and basically got no support whatsoever. They informed me that the scope has been discontinued and offered me "credit" towards another scope, the closest thing they have to my scope is the non O/A version of what I have now and they still wanted me to pay an additional $40.00, so much for the lifetime warranty. I will NEVER buy another scope from this company. Ironically the one I have mounted on my Diana 350 still works although the pop up turret cap sheared the tiny screws that hold it on so every time I adjust the windage the cap comes off and I just turn the little brass disk and put the cap back on. I purchased a Tasco AIR 2X7X32 O/ which I have mounted on my R9 and so far so good. I realize at this price range you're just trading one Chinese made POS for another, but at least the Tasco Chinese POS seems more stoutly built and the glass is clearer. I have a Tasco AIR 4x32 O/A coming that should arrive sometime this week to replace the UTG mounted on the 34, I'll keep you posted with how well it holds up, no news will be good news. By the way it appears Tasco has been bought out by Bushnell?

One thing about the Tasco scopes guys is they use conventional duplex reticles, but so far this hasn't been an issue for me, the inner reticle is quite thin and allows for reasonably precise shot placement. I have a self imposed limit of about 30 yards for small game anyway so the hold over dilema really doesn't come into play for me, if a rabbit or squirrel are further away than that, I'll just wait for them to get closer or just let em go. Like my Dad says " If I don't shoot anything I don't have to clean it" LOL!
Utg are usually pretty rough scopes but they can last most of the time .
For the poor customer support alone I'll never buy any of their products again, the only reason I bought them in the first place is because of the positive feedback I've read about the company and their scopes. I found out the hard way just how "rough" UTG scopes really are LOL!

First thing I would do is contact Leapers/UTG about warranty service.
I did they're located here in Michigan it was fruitless. I really like this Tasco AIR 2-7X32 , my buddy even commented on how much clearer if was than my UTG scopes. I paid an even $60.00 from Natchez for the 4X TASCO AIR should be here by Tuesday

I posted on that goofed mount above , and sent 3 emails with pictures of it each 2 weeks apart and never got a reply..

Not a hi , by, fu, tear stained , nothing..

Heck not give a guy the ol' company too bad so sad copy and paste reply.. sad customer service / support.
I know it, it's almost like they don't care if they stay in business or not LMAO I talked with one of the guys in the repair department and asked him if he could just fix the scope I have and he said " No we don't have any parts for it" HAHAHAHAHA!

Best part was I was not asking for any type of satisfaction it was mostly a fyi on here's the condition of your product nee out of the box I received and should I expect this from ugt products on QC ..lol. oh well .. as they say " there's plenty of scope mount fish in the sea to buy and try ". LoL.

I say a lot " you buy , you try, and hope it don't make you cry". So I guess I had to cry on that one ..😭

Just got the second one, it a OK scope for my use and it is much brighter than the CP4x. Both these scopes have very positive solid feeling turrets, much, much better than the CenterPoint. The scopes as I mentioned before are pretty light but not cheap feeling, and they do go very well on my Stormriders.

I don't think I would use these scopes on a springer, I just don't think they can handle the vibration (could be wrong). For a pumper, CO2, or PCP on the other hand they have my confidence.
If you're talking about the Tasco scopes they're much higher quality than the UTG scopes. I have the Tasco AIR 2-7X32 mounted on my R9 and after three months it's holding up just fine.

If only a mildot that would be nice. ( not a deal breaker)

I've read a few say there pleased with the tasco air line .. I see a few liking the Winchester / daisy one as well. Maybe the same scopes just rebranded

Example

I’ve had good experiences with UTG scopes. Back in the previous decade they were far more popular.

I have bug busters 3x9 32 on 3 of my carbines PCPs. And a couple :few 3x12 40and 4x16 40 on my traditional PCPs

I’ve recently bought 2 Hawk 2x7 32 ….nice scope.
I’m also using BSA also in the 2x7 32. And 3x12 44 I like them as well

So far the duplex reticle has worked just fine, I haven't really shot my R9 much further than 30 yards and at that distance sighted in for 25 yards I haven't noticed a need for much hold over. In regards to the scope itself I'm very pleased, it holds its zero and the optics are pretty clear, especially for its price point.

I suppose so….. actually I am … lol. I never bought into the “I need to spend my guns price on an optic”

I see the benefits of better glass for sure but 50 yards or under I get it done just fine non the less.

Ive got a UTG that Ive had on a RWS 48 .22 that's been on it for 10 yrs, still holds zero. The front lens did come loose once but just put a tiny drop of glue on edge and hasn't budged since.. killed a ton of squirrels using it plus a truck full of starlings, sparrows and pigeons.
Have another UTG 3x12 thats been on a bunch of springers in the 13-20ftlb range and still holds zero... have heard their warranty sucks.
