I had a recent run of young squirrels show up this fall, but I haven’t seen any in three days. The hawk was looking down in the swale between my yard and the neighbors. I get a decent amount of mice and rats. They like my other neighbors dog kennel and old sheds filled with junk.

Just punching paper now, he’s got this.

I also have a red shouldered hawk patrolling my backyard... there are lots of small critters it’s preying on as I generally leave the multitude of red and grey squirrels alone. Tons of black walnuts this year, so it’s squirrel city out there.

For real! I legit had one light up about 1-2 yards over my head as soon as I hit the woods to squirrel hunt one day. That was pretty amazing. I’ve seen them fly through from time to time, but to have one light up overhead and post right above my post was incredible. I tried to take a photo, but when I pulled my phone out and pointed it at him, he flew away.

I have a pair that's always around the area, we have more small critters around here then they could ever deal with. One tree we have out front during the winter is a roost for turkey vultures every morning if you go out and make some noise ie start the car about 20 to 30 of those big bastards take off.

My father has a very large old oak that the turkey vultures roost in. He hates it because of all the poop that ends up under the tree.

Sounds about right, love those birds though completely not afraid of humans, you can pretty much walk right up to them and they just kinda look at you like what do you want...
