Does .20 caliber affect price of Sharp Ace?

I am selling a very nice Sharp Ace in .20 cal.. I was talking with the potential buyer and when he heard it was a .20 cal. he said it was very rare and much more valuable than a .177 or .22., in fact he felt it would now be out of his price range. This was a surprise to me as I thought if anything it would be worth somewhat less with the current ammo shortage.I would be interested in what the forum members think about the value of .20 calibers in general and this rifle in particular.

The current Airgun Bluebook doesn't even show the rifle being made in .20 caliber, so you're gonna need someone like DualMagMike or maybe MDriskell to weigh in here...lol.

A .20 air ranger was being sold for $800 recently, while .22 & .25 air rangers I've bought are in the $700 - $725 range. Raise the price by 15% and see what happens.

The trigger is quite good at low power,Max. As you go up in power trigger weight increases, like in the old Crossman 140’s. You can really go up in power too. 10 pumps with H&N barracudas approach muzzle velocity of 1000 fps. Last few pumps are really tough though. Thanks for the reference. I’ve not seen it.

Correction : Just checked my notes and the high velocity I described was obtained with H&N FTT’s Rather than Barracudas. Apologies.

Hi Westypete, I hope you don't mind this old thread revival. I have just joined this forum from the Netherlands, as I am doing research on Sharp, for a book that I am writing on the brand.
