FX NEW! Am I in the right path? _Choosing attachments for Fx Panthera for Hunting and PRS

Hi ! Billions here. This is my first time in airgun nation and Im new to the hobby, i like it so far :D.

My goal is to practice prs and hunt small to medium game.
I´d like to start the hobby by buying 1 pcp rifle, 1 scope, 1 rangefinder and 1 chronograph once in my life time or as long lasting as possible before stuff breaks (stop spending that cash money $ and pay rent vibes :ROFLMAO:).

This is my shopping list so far:
Panthera fx 700 mm barrel, .25 cal.
Arken EP5 or EPL 4
Fx pocket chrono v2
Maven CRF.1 - 6X22 | 5-2400 YD or Leupold RX-1600 or tidewe budget option ?
slugs (not a clue which ones are right)

This list is made by me and my knowledge base on research i made. Im really not so sure what im doing.

My plan: I´ll start by practicing prs (350 yards max?) and eventually when i can afford it i´ll start buying parts to convert the panthera fx 700 mm .25 cal to a compact (shorter barrel, maybe folding AR stock, maybe change calibers, tanks etc...) for hunting and back to the original for prs, but using the same scope on both hunting and prs. Tell me, am i delusional? 🫣

So... my questions are:

HELP! am i in the right path to get to what i want?

Any other comments or tips on my plan?

Im open minded to constructive criticism and other recommendations or ideas. They would be greatly appreciated before I purchase stuff i can´t return.

Thank you guys for the support and information. Im looking forward to being part of the community and hopefully contributing cool stuff to it too 😎.

I can't speak about the panthera, but if it shoots anything like my impact. Mark 2 or better than you will be set for that being your first gun as long as it doesn't give you any problems. I have the Ark and EPL for 6 to 24 by 50. And although it is weighty it is amazing. I can read 2 foot letter signs 900 yd away no problem. If you want to be able to shoot beyond 350 yd with that scope, you will need a set of adjustable rings. That way, you can use the full range of elevation. Otherwise you will only get about 19 mills instead of the 32 mills of adjustability. Now you could get the 4-16x50 instead of the 6-24x50 and that'll give you even more elevation adjustability, but you will lack on the zoom.

The tidewe is rangefinder is a great option, I ahve the hd700E and it doesn't skip a beat, for $80 on amazon pre sale it's a great option.

I also have the fx chrono v1, I personally dont think the v2 is worth getting for the price difference. Specially if you have a set of rechargeable batteries.

I have a Panthera 700MM, as well as an IMPACT as well as several other high quality pcps. While the Panthera is exceptionally powerful and super accurate, I can't imagine hunting with it. After adding the moderator, weights, etc, it is a monster of a beast. I would one of the new FX Kings in 600MM would be a far better all around platform and is uses the same barrel and internals as does the Panthera.

My Panthera Compact Hunter in .25, after many pellets shot, became very accurate.

Beware.- I would not recommend a FX Meccano line as a first PCP to anyone.

If you want to be able to shoot with absolutely accuracy at 200 yards and hunt with the same rifle from rabbit to deer, my choose would be a Daystate Wolverine non regulated in .30 Cal.

If you would like a rifle with bullpup shape, go for a Vulcan 3 in .700 mm in .30 cal or .25 Cal.

If you would like to be able to shoot with a semi, go for a Sidewinder in .30 Cal or in .25 Cal.

Look at long range accuracy of Sidewinder .30 Cal on the following video:

If you would like to have the must smooth rifle on the market, go for a Daystate with computer, Red Wolf or Delta Wolf.

I have most of the same guns as @Emu, but in semi-auto in 25 caliber, I might arm wrestle with him and suggest a Huben K1. It shoots pellets and slugs well and has enough power to take down larger game. We both will agree that shot placement is king!
I've owned two Huben K1's (.22 and .25) and an LCS SK19 in .25 and currently own a .30 Sidewinder. The Sidewinder is the best I've owned. The Huben has a better trigger and is better for carrying around, but the removable mag on the Sidewinder allows you to easily clean the barrel and when you remove the magazine the gun is completely safe, unlike the Huben. The accuracy on the Sidewinder is fantastic.
