FX hybrids alternative

2 of my rifles love the fx hybrids it's the only slug I've found that shoots well in them. My question is there any out there similar to the fx's as they are expensive. They seem to be a bit longer and softer then the others I've used ( nsa, jsb, and a few lower names brands)

they have a polymer ball inside them,

I shoot 34 grain JSB pellets @ 916 and the 26 grain RMR slugs at 988 with the exact same tune. 1/2 moa difference in poi.

So funny thing I was talking with rmr about a sample pack, turns out there the ones who supply fx for there hybrids lol. Essentially cutting out the middle man and buying them directly from the manufacturer.

Not really cheaper, but I found my rifles that like hybrids also like Varmint Knockers in the lighter weights. I only shoot lighter weight slugs as I primarily shoot pellets. He does give a discount if you increase the quantity.

Check out the Impulse Air slugs, they are rebranded hybrids. $19 for 200 in .22 at Trenier, $20 at UA.

I second the Air Impulse HBT slugs. They’re virtually identical to the FX Hybrids in appearance and performance.

The HBT's are less expensive than the RMR slugs........which are also like the Hybrids. I'm thinking of ordering an Impulse moderator so if I do I'll add a few tins of the HBT's to try.

In .22 RMR cost 8.33 cent per shot for 500 vs 12.7 cent per shot for 400 HBT. Almost 50% more expensive to my door due to shipping cost.

.22 RMR cost $60 for 500. By my math that's .12 cents per shot..........
Even adding in shipping it's almost a wash.

You're correct, I don't know how I screwed that up.
I just extrapolated the price for 500 HBT and shipping remained the same so the HBT were only 43 cent more for equal quantities.

Math hard, in this case i've been buying them for a while now and I know what they cost, something seemed off so I actually had to take off my shoes for the harder stuff.

I ordered some from Utah Air based on this post. They must be slammed after the holiday as I haven't even gotten a shipping notice after ordering them last Friday. Here's to hoping they are the same as the FX.

They are……I have both in my ammo inventory and the Impulse slugs shoot just as well as the Hybrids. They basically ARE Hybrids at a better price.

Does anyone know similar slugs as FX Hybrid that can also be bought in Europe? Both Impulse and RMR slugs are not shipped over the seas. I have tested ZAN (26gr, 28gr and 30gr) JSB KnockOuts and H&N (28gr, 30gr, 32gr) slugs and best one of those was Knockout and littel behind H&N 30gr but FX Hybrid was still best (STX superior liner, speeds ). Knockout would be otherwise OK, but it is little too slow (~850fps) for my mainly pellet tune.
