FX A Balmy 74 degrees........

....in Valley Center, CA. today so I had to get out & shoot, wouldn't you? Decided I better get some exercise too. After zeroing in my .22 Bobcat, .25 Royale 500 & my .30 Boss @ 50 yards I set my 3" steel gongs at 100. Could easily nail them with all 3 guns but the Boss is my favorite for long range. Lots of smack down power. Now I gotta do some stuff with my lovely wife. (Not as much fun)

Yeah, it was freaking HOT in Ramona being in the direct sun this morning, around 80° plus.
When I got home, about 20 miles away, it was also 80°.
Not complaining at all though, it's all good.
BTW, I saw at least a dozen GS, only had a shot at 4 unlucky ones!

Sorry Mike, just couldn't face the 2 hour round trip just to be back home at noonish. I didn't see a single GS on way to VC, at VC, or on way back home. That's because they all followed you to Ramona! Fatal decision for 4 of em! Have a great weekend. We're supposed to have rain & temp drop by tomorrow night.

I have a soft spot in my heart, for the FX Boss!
About 5 years ago, I opted for a Crown instead, and love it.
But the Boss certainly still captures my attention!
And I believe that FX still produces the Boss, but I seldom hear anything about them.
A classic FX, that in my opinion, will never go out of style!

12/17/23 woke this morning to 49 degrees and cloudy going all the way up to 51 (if it makes it ) nice shooting day wind 5 to 15 .

What pellet, weight of pellet, and FPS?

I was shooting JSB Hades,.30 cal. @ 885-895ish fps. For the 1st few years I had the Boss it wouldn't shoot Hades accurately (@ 840fps) but this past summer I installed a Huma regulator, factory set at 160 bar. The change was just short of miraculous. Before the Huma all it would shoot accurately were JSB 44.75gr. After Huma I can now shoot 44.75 domed, Hades & 50.12gr pellets with beautiful accuracy. Huma cost me $88 & got to me in 3 days
