I purchased one in .22 heard about the sale.

I have several upgrades planned. Ball bearing trigger mod for lighter trigger, swivel mounts etc.

Does anyone know or have a solution for the hole in the handle? See picture.

I also would like to install swivel studs however the ideal spot in the back is a no go. I settled for the opposite side of the butt pad. See picture. Alternatively I could attach something to the front barrel band that I ordered. It has a Picatinny rail. I like the swivel studs better.

Once I add a bipod to the front of the newly attached swivel I will Also counter the weight with lead in the back of the stock. One idea any way

Just for kicks I will attach a light to that front band.

129.00 I bought this after I had already bought a Diana stormrider wood stock model. I also own the beeman chief 2 plus.

They all have their quirks. Beeman has the swivels and adjustable hammer but different triggers. The draw of the icon is the trigger mod and pistol grip. The Diana has the lightest out of box trigger in at 2.5 pounds. However no hammer spring adjustment. It is the lightest of the bunch and feels like it really needs an aftermarket front band. Thin barrel.

I also own a bandit. The ar mod looks fantastic. A pcp sbr. However 100 bucks for the stock makes me want to sbr my ar for only 100 more.

Thanks for reading if anyone knows a solution for the hole in the grip I would appreciate it.
 
Unfortunately the roller bearing mod did not work to my satisfaction.

There are drawbacks when lighting a trigger. With the bearing I get a half ounce pull however, my safety is not working properly.

Disengage the safety and the gun goes off. Set the gun down and the gun goes off. Without disengaging the safety the gun can be fired.

Unfortunate because it’s a hair trigger. To bad there isn’t another size bearing that would be a middle ground.

They make a storage kit, but for batteries. Not sure if it would fit but worth a shot. Could modify for magazine storage or something

I put the barrel band on and made a huge difference in how sturdy the rifle feels overall. I ordered one for the stormrider too.

I decided not to tap the stock just yet for swivels. I have a attached a parcord loop near the butt stock and on the other end the Picatinny bipod will attach to a swivel for a sling.

I was also noticed on these icon rifles the meter is set back in that circle housing.

If that portion of the stock was threaded you could screw something in there and attach a tube as a removable fore grip. Or just attach a Picatinny rail under the rifle. Lots of custom options. I will slowly customize.

So far I’m happy. I like the adjusted trigger and the vertical grip and I prefer the safety design to the beeman. I now have 2 pcp that I will probably not use anymore (the Maximus and the beeman)

For these kind of jobs I would use something called thermoplastic or moldable plastic.
This is the cheapest one available now (I bought it and it works): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C1YX39S5

Extremely tough, tougher than any plastic I have seen (no kidding here).
It becomes moldable when you leave it ion hot water.
I also you a heat gun with it.

It is like playdough and you could easily build a plug for the grip.
Since you are using your hands to mold it, I use it for simple forms where a lot of precision os not needed.

It comes in white color but I used black ink to color mine in black (or various gray shades).
