How fast for 23 gr. 22 pellets

You can try to shoot 22gr slugs out of the gun. I do, but you will need to start your tuning around 140b. And that’s right where you start your tuning with the 25gr pellets. You can float between 135b-150b on the second reg while testing those projectiles. With the slugs, test in the 920-940fps range. You are going to go through a boatload of slugs unless you aren’t that picky and find a good enough setting. If you find good groups and are then get a flier and are , that’s unfortunately pretty normal.

Thank you. I bought the gun used. I had an annual done with all o rings and etc replaced. I replaced the liner as well. Ken Hicks at SPUR did it.
I have several cartons of slugs I would like to try!

There is no rule that says slugs have to be shot fast. Old wive’s tale.
I had not shot my Panther 25 in close to 3 months. Took it to the indoor range and just for the fun of it I retuned it.
I started with the gun @135 bar and the micro wheel @ 2.5. I started working up from there. When I got to 760 fps the gun was dead quiet and was shooting 33 gr Zan slugs into one slightly enlarged hole @ 20 yards.
I could not repeat that performance until I got up to 970 fps.
If I did not want the increased fpe I would have left it at 760 and shot it there. It was that consistent
I have a compact and have attempted shooting light slugs in both 2 and 25. The compact remains a pellet gun.

I'm shooting the 25 grain pellets and 22 grain slugs out of the same tune but a 600 mm barrel. Both shoot great, If I miss it's my fault.
The only difference between the two is slugs are 5 moa lower at 30 yards. The beauty of it is that they are consistent so I can adjust the scope depending on what I'm shooting without worry.

Interesting, in my 500 Mav everything is spot on and I do mean everything, the caveat is I don't go over 22gr slugs or 18.13 pellets, no need.

When I was shooting my M3 in .25 with the 700 mm barrel that's how mine was. Spot on.

Thank you. When I first got my compact it was apparently tuned for 18 gr pellets. It shot them well. I had the annual done and new o rings and etc. Now thinking it maybe best to go back to the 18 gr pellets or change to 600 or 700mm barrel to shoot slugs at linger distance.
Ultimate goal is to shoot 100 yards consistently well.
