HW/Weihrauch !If you bought a new hw97 walnut!

I'll get there . . . perhaps tomorrow's the day. On Saturday I took a nasty fall on the patio, tripping over the garden hose. I went down hard, so not doing much since. Orv.
Unfortunately, I'm still bedridden. I keep hoping for tomorrow, but I'm too swollen and bruised to function. There's always hope for tomorrow. I really, really want to get out with my new HW97K. When? Rv.

I thought about getting one. But I haven't shot the one I already have.

AOA has just posted this Blem 95 Walnut. You have to wonder how much effort Weihrauch is putting into this project if that one made it on the boat? Beyond the obvious I also see a couple specks of dust in the polyurethane. Granted they are meant to be tools but this one should have been caught by someone between stock manufacture and final QC. Benefit of doubt, perhaps shipping damage? At today’s prices it would be a great shooter.

Ok, ok….the sale that AOA had in honor of Memorial Day was toooo much for me. I went ahead and ordered a walnut stocked HW97. Arrived today! Beautiful rifle! The stock isn’t spectacular, but is very nice…a little curl on the comb, and the fore end. Getting home after dark, I was forced to take pictures under fluorescent lights so it appears muted. Anyway, I’m thrilled with it…just ordered some mounts. Looking forward to getting it out to the range. John

Curious if these new walnut stocks are mainly intended for the US market, as there's no sign of them in Europe or the UK. Plus, there's no mention of them on the Weihrauch website, which only lists beech or laminate options.
I'm told that they are just imported by AoA and that only 1000 will be made. I can't recall where I saw this information, so don't hold me to it until verified. Orv.
