My buddy has one. It quit spitting pllets. 177 any ideas where to start? Cleaned the barrel, had 5 stuck but now won't do anything.
Hi, I'm having a hard time getting the trigger out. I realize that I need to make a tool, but the question I'm wondering is, do I have to compress the spring in far enough that the entire trigger assembly block comes out of the hole where the trigger itself normally protrudes from? That seems like a lot of tension to apply by hand with a homemade tool, so I just want to make sure before I go messing around with it.The seals in those turn to crumbly, hard and sticky goop.

Nice old drill presses.I did it like this
First made a tool. Out of a pipe nipple I had handy. Then used my drill press to compress the spring. And then trigger block pins come out. And BINGO

Thank you. The blue Craftsman is about 85 years old. I appreciate nice vintage machines. And motors too. I have a stock of vintage motors (I like working on them) and enough vintage drill press parts to build about 7 nice machines. I hord the good parts. Have a stack of vintage drill press tables that don't have holes drilled in them by shop primates. My pet peeve is a drill press or milling vise with holes drilled in it. Or a drill press table with that "Arc of Shame".Nice old drill presses.
