Gentlest method to wash pellets

Heated Ultrasonic cleaner...
Pellets are placed in a ziplock bag.
A drop of Dawn, a couple of drops of white vinegar and water to cover the pellets
The tank of the UltraSonic cleaner is just filled with water..
Float the bags in the tank
Turn on the heater and ultrasonics.....
10 to 15 mins
I'm absolutely missing the point of this, the object is to get the dirt to fall to the bottom of the tank, not keep the pellets in it. I have a little basket that came with the unit, vibrate the daylights out of them, stir them up and vibrate for another 5 minutes. pick up the basket and you see all of the crud on the bottom.

Well I can do multiple types of pellet/slugs..at the same time
I don't contaminate the whole tank...
Then dump each bag, Rinse in a basket and dry..Repeat

I don't worry about contaminating the tank, it's just some lead and maybe some oils, the lead falls to the bottom of the tank and pretty much stays there, I buy the alcohol in bulk, wish I could do the same with my medicinal 😏 alcohol but....then I chuck it and wipe out the tank every so often and repeat. So, it's placed in basket, vibrated, move pellets a little, vibrate, remove basket, air dry, place on microfiber towel and rub in bulk, put back in tin. No fuss, no muss and they are nice and clean and the skirts are in pristine condition. Now, IF I could just remember where in the heck I put my beeswax......

I took an old quart yogurt container, drilled a bunch of small holes in the bottom, put the pellets in there with some dish soap, then nest that in an old plastic lunchmeat container, add some water in with the pellets, then swirl them around while brushing them with a chip brush. Then raise the pellets to drain off the dusty water and toss that, repeat the process a few times.

I also rinse out the pellet tin, they can be really dirty, wipe it out with paper towels until clean. I wash my hands all along the way. Then I take some cardboard bent in a vee with paper towels on it, put the pellets in there to dry off, then put them back in the tin after a while.
