What is recommended There seems to be a lot of options but that tiny in line filter that comes with the compressor can't be sufficient....

I use this one for my Spirtech compressor. It comes with an extra filled filter and you can purchase extra filters. It is large and works extremely well.

I have been considering this filter as well. Is there a recommendation filter life and when to change?

I would check the filter after about every 3 hours of usage and since the filter is clear, look at the media to check for discoloration and or moisture
