Thank you, Al, for correcting my misunderstanding.
I am primarily interested is
very short barrels in .30cal.
Why?
Because it's rarely been used.
And so, there is very little data out there.
But, before I make a decision to possibly cut a perfectly good .30cal barrel down to 400mm (or 500mm) — I want to know a little as to what to expect.
(
To explain: I have had this .30cal
bug in my ear for some time now.
And an AGN buddy has booked a medical emergency flight to operate on my ear to get the bug out....: He's bringing me a 600mm .30cal barrel — that should cure me. Right?
However, there is this nagging thought: Besides making smashing hits with the 600mm barrel.... — How cool would it be to video pigeons eliminations
with a 26" (65cm) short package (RTI Prophet Compact) that spits out .30cal slow flying lead?!
I got a hold locally of a China barrel that could supply a 400mm short range barrel....).
Now, just today I received a phone call to invite me to come to my very first
rat permission ever. After knocking on over 25 doors of potential rat permissions —
this is reason to celebrate
(just don't tell any non-airgunner friends about that, as they will think I'm crazy).
Cheers!
