Just ordered a Vet 2 .22 from Talon Tunes now the wait begins, interested to see if they are as nice as everyone says.

I bought a Veteran 2 tactical in 25 cal with a 700 barrel from Tony last January and it's very accurate and Tony was great to deal with. I'm sure that you will be very happy with your purchase. In fact, I'm considering getting another from Tony in .22 with a 550 length barrel for truck gun.

You've got a nice collection already so it's got some tough competition.
I will say the action and trigger is buttery smooth. Tony ordered a 177 for me and it's super consistent.

I have the Taipan Vetran 2 tactical in 700mm love it. Action and trigger are great as well as the accuracy

I was trying to sort out that choice in that but only seen length not type..lol

So its like how do you really know ?
Maybe overseas sales get the choice , USA don't ?

I think that we are limited to whatever the dealer has in stock or can order...not sure as I just made my choice by what he had in stock.

I'm thinking about getting a second Taipan Vetran 2 standard in 25. What does your 25 like and is it standard or 700mm

I have the Standard and been shooting JSB Exact Kings 25.39 since I got it with outstanding accuracy . Also shot some Gen 2 Javelin slugs spot on as well !!

Congrats! I'm hoping You have the time to share detailed experience. It would be a big help to many of us. The Vet 2 is on my list as well but there seems to be so many variants and some of them I really do not want.
I'll be waiting. Not as anxiously as You though

I'm wondering if the original Taipan with shrouds are quieter than the Veteran II's with only a moderator. Mines not loud by any means but it gives off a fair pop.

I took my new Veteran squirrel hunting last week(shot at 1 missed) and noticed its quiet a bit louder then my Crown MKII .22, FX Dreamline Classic or my BSA R10 SE .22. Its also heavier weighing around 10# 4oz or so.
My trigger had quiet a bit of creep in 2nd stage, adjusted it out and lowered trigger weight from 1# 14 oz down to 1# 3-4oz. Now has about a perfect trigger for hunting. Ive put sling swivels on it which helps when carrying for any length of time. I can say this I like my standard length guns better then bull pups, but the Vet does come to the shoulder and points good.

Not sure if even possible, tried to unscrew mine and it is on there so tight I cant budge it, feels like Im going to break something trying to get it loose. Not sure if it was put on with loc tite or not havent heard of them being so. Will have to try a little heat and see i that helps.
