To all you guys that have the Barra 250Z...Do your stocks adjust up and down ?
So true. The Marauder comes standard with a "Lawyer spring" and the Barra 250z comes standard with a "Lawyer safety."I got my Barra 250z in on Thursday, played with it all weekend. Here are my thoughts:
It’s long, like real long. With a Buck Rail UNF Moderator it’s got a few inches on my RAW HM1000x and that’s saying something. It is pretty light despite its length and I had no issue carrying it around in the woods with me this weekend. Just need to be a bit more
mindful.
I’m not too picky in furniture, the stock does look kinda “cheap” that said it’s got side and bottom slots for M-Lok accessories and it’s plenty sturdy. I shoot off a tripod and it handles like a PRS style powder burner.
I like the bolt much more than I thought I would. Pretty smooth, and will get better with time. The trigger however leaves a LOT to be desired. It is adjustable, but at least on my rifle, just when it starts to be palatable the crossbar style safety stops working. More to follow on this, if i have to grind the cross bar a bit to get it to work I will.
Barrel shroud air tank is a game changer. I like it enough that an FX DRS will likely be my next rifle.
Its fast. Mine is in .22, and anything in the 15-18 grain pellet range is hovering in the 990-1000fps. This seems to be fine at 30 yards but stretching it to 50 the dispersion starts to show up, you can tell they’re moving just a little too fast. Conversely 23 grain .217 Nielsen slugs are pretty good coming in around 850fps, but again they’re not moving quite fast enough to really hold a decent group at 50. I have a feeling pellets and slugs in the 20-24 grain range will let me leave it stock and get good results. Otherwise I’d have to go up for slugs and down for pellets, which I may very well do. The external reg adjustment and degas screws are clutch.
For $450 bucks I think this thing is awesome. If you get one let me know what you think!
I work in insurance. You have no idea how bad it can get, and how angry people can get when theyre forced to cover their own foulups.AMEN.
Not gonna lie, that’s hadn’t occurred to me. Solid advice, and I certainly won’t give out any. I don’t need any of that in my life lolSo true. The Marauder comes standard with a "Lawyer spring" and the Barra 250z comes standard with a "Lawyer safety."
Be careful about posting any advice on how you get your firing mechanism to work. A former active member got sued (Southern Gunner) by someone for misusing the information he put out. Although, I think, that was about a different thing, pressure, same rule applies. People are always looking to blame somebody else when they screw up.
It's such an inconsistent thing, the law and how certain thresholds are so vastly inconsistent in gauge. Brandenburg vs. Ohio. "It's not a crime to wish someone dead in detail and state you'd like to do it based off of prejudices, but he didn't specifically implore anyone to do it, someone took it upon themselves".So true. It really does suck to have to worry about it. I remember how mad I was that Southern Gunner wouldn't say how he got his G1 to shoot so well, and then I finally heard about the lawsuit, and started figuring things out the hard way.Not gonna lie, that’s hadn’t occurred to me. While I’d certainly hope any judge would look at that suit and throw it out immediately, what a hassle to have to deal with. Being able to mod and tinker is half the reason I got into this hobby. Couldn’t imagine going after an anonymous forum user because I hurt myself lol.It really does suck to have to worry about it. That is why i have always advised fellow dashcam enthusiasts to install / choose stealthy systems, and for the love of your favorite deity do not mention your dashcam at the site of a alteration.and how angry people can get
