No more turbo lag with the m4 .25

as some of you know after roughly 200 shots i noticed the first few shots were not up to speed.
i read about it so i was prepped if the m4 would have a impact legacy. it does. well did.
talked o many people who has owned fx guns over a 4–5-year period for some.

watched many vids but very few tell much a few. one guy I think his first name is Ernest rowe?
seems to know the guns well.
upon taking the gun apart I noticed the top rail and front barrel support are pinned top and bottom
the front block isn't going to move like I've read it's impossible.
took the gun completely apart cleaned all the factory black grease from the gun gone.
smoothed out any sharp edges on the inside/outside of both springs hammer and adjuster
polished the rod and both springs to a mirror finish hammer and the hammer sleeve
also installed the HUMA AIR 7.5g hammer
changed that soft little o ring that is inside the plenum tube as its to soft and drags the new one does not nice and smooth.
went out today later in the day shot a full mag it was in the 30s maybe low 40s
whole new gun no more turbo lag for the first 3-4 shots
here is a full mag shooting 32g AEA slugs
not bad groups at 50 yds.

changing that factory o ring for a harder durometer one made a big difference no more windshield wiper drag.

My m3 did it after a while. Reg creep can cause hot shots of you have the hammer to do it, or close the valve faster than usual. Got rid of the delrin amp regs and put brass huma ones in, not a problem or hiccup or creep to be found that is worth complaining about. No poi shift even with a month of sitting and my first reg is at 170. Best of luck. The impact is rad if you are inclined to tune and tinker, if somebody is averse to it they should never ever buy an fx.

Had numerous fx. Yes loved my m3 other than cold start. Just won’t accept doing surgery on a new 2k gun to make it shoot. Nor needing to be a surgeon ( each person may have a different experience) to get the orings out and into an amp reg. Epoch reg 1000x easier…Vulcan 3 reg 1000 times easier. Fx is just out of my wheelhouse now. I have one left. Wildcat BT and if one could sell a gun right now without giving it away I would sell when it comes back from repair.

Totally understandable. My gun was perfect as it came from the factory with a sane pressure tune......till the south African infomercials made me think I needed to shoot heavy slugs to shoot longer range. Then the troubles of the top bar and rail to barrel misalignment got me after the tungsten hammer. I would've bought your wildcat too if it wasn't full retail but I bought a dream tact already. I took 2k gun and started re machining things and customizing because I'm a nerd, but i understand if people don't want to and want them perfect out of the box.

My biggest gripe with my m3 was the design of the top strap that the m4 has fixed, and the delrin amp reg pistons(at the power level I was playing in)

It was my "perfect tune" . No scope re zero, just power wheel and I could shoot 3 types of pellet and 2 types of lighter slug all with a power wheel number and the same trajectory with precision. But I had to get it to shoot 31s 😂. I got taken away like a junkie to billet parts and rimfire power so it isn't even backyard capable anymore.

I hope a newer guy reads this and avoids the same fate. If you want to play power level, the maverick /wildcat swap hammers way easier.

piece of cake jig saw puzzle is more confusing its just a matter of inspecting and correcting.
i play power with everything i own.
