I'm not new to airguns but I've been looking for a place to shoot in southwest (Lafayette) Louisiana area

Not specific to air rifles, but there is Fuseliers of the Swamp Complesx in Abbeville. The name doesn't come to mind at the moment, but there is a range in Lake Charles. The Golden Triangle in Beaumont. But the best place is our range here in Baton Rouge Bayou Airguns. a little ways for you but we shoot matches every weekend. Checkout our website Bayouairgunclub for match schedules and times. With all that open rice land over there. You should be able to come up with at least 25 yds. LOL famous last words. I am very fortunate in that BAC is only 15 minutes away at the Baton Rouge Fairgrounds and they do all the grass cutting etc. The club provides targets / spinners out to 50 yds. a 12 point covered firing line with benches plus flushing toilets , electric.We also hold the Cajun Match every year. All that for only $60.00 per yr. in dues.

@unclebee22 It may benefit you to check the member map so you can determine who is where and how far you want to drive. There are other members in BR and a couple other places down there.

I have heard great things about Bayou airgun club in Baton Rouge which is not far from Lafayette. @cavedweller has been and gave me this information about contacting the club. He said they will let you come and check it out without being a member (Best thing is to call Carey Hymel +1 (225) 718-9649, he’s very active at their club). I have not had a chance to visit but last weekend of deer season is this weekend so I will be taking a trip very soon!!Hey @Poke-E, @pumpmonster, or @Chris_Hoek . Come see us at BAC and see what we have to offer. It is a great facility and a great bunch of guys PLUS all shooting is FREE. Membership only $60.00 per yr.In addition to the matches i mentioned previously, we hold a bang up fun match every Wednesday shooting 6 lb guns only! We shoot both rifle and pistol at paper and silhouette targets. Believe it or not, we shoot silhouette racks out to 40 yds with the rifles { scoped of course }. Don't laugh till you try it!! I's amazing what those little rifles will do. Needless to say the Wednesday matches are comprised mostly of us " OLD GUYS " Garey as mentioned is one of our Wednesday guys. NOTICE! I didn't mention the " old word " LOL

@Cajun1024 I am definitely going to be visiting in the next couple of weeks. I live in Lake Charles so it a little drive for me. I am looking forward to it.tho!!!!

I shot the Cajun Spring Classic in 2023. This is a great facility and they run a very good AAFTA GP weekend. If I were closer, I’d be there often!
I heard no Cajuns this year! We all benefit from getting there and experiencing this venue, atmosphere and the great locals. The folks that organize the Cajuns are very kind and welcoming! Whatever the issue, we all need it solved
