Yesterday I did a firelapping on two of my 25x700 liners I not use regularly.
I had a half a tin of these Eunjin in 25 cal, rolled into Loctite Clover (grinding and lapping) 280 grit compound paste, and shoot a 20 at lowest speed through each liners, the pellets bounce back from the clay.
Cleaned and washed the liners with Balistol, and pushed a 34gn JSB pellet through each liner - up to a choke - checking for tight spots.
Looks like I opened a new rabbit hole.
I think I had before 2-3 minor tight/loose spots on full length - and now have 5-6 very pronounced tight spots.
I put the exersize aside for a moment, I need to think - what is next?
- to do a polishing first with J-B (blue) and chack again for tight spots ??
or
- to do a 20 shots repeat trying to create=connect more friction spots together - and do the polishing then ??
I need a beer ... but need to get to a store to pick some ... about 10" white sheiss outside
