Mission accomplished syndrome…

Recently realized that whenever I get a gun to do exactly what I want it to do my attention very quickly shifts to another which isn’t there yet. Like you get a new rifle and are thinking “ok, I want this thing to do X” and you work on it, tinker, modify and whatnot until it eventually is doing X as if there’s no tomorrow. And then you do the same to the next gun and the next thereafter, until you realize that you haven’t shot the first one in a month. Kinda weird how things work…

Guilty as charged

Yep, and that’s why some of us have a room full of guns. But if you leave the conquered gun sit long enough, it’s really fun to bust it out and be amazed by it.
Oh yes… wife limited me to 9 PCPs (and half of me is glad she did) so I have to get rid of one if I want another… and I really don’t want to get rid of any…

Seems like you’re on a never ending “mission”…🙈 As long as those missions are keeping you out of trouble? Carry on…🙏

That’s the right way to look at it I guess!
No “wrong or right” just having fun within the hobby for the most part, and keeping the household harmonious is all. I like toying around with my airguns, but ”love” playing with my wife and If I had to choose?… What’s the “official limit”? An upset spouse?🙈 Simply keeping it fun and in context has been key for me in all my hobbies.

100%. Official limit is easy in my case though cause I was told the number pretty exact and unambiguous ;) which is perfectly alright, glad that she’s fine with (almost) all of the nonsense I am doing day in and day out. Even gifts me a gun or a scope every now and then, very fortunate I am!

I was down to 10, but now I'm up to 13 again. My wife never says no to me. It's her fault-she's an enabler.
That’s nice :)

I am glad that mine keeps me in check though. Eventually, I am a (little) child in a man’s body and with a man’s bank account so really appreciate that she avoids Airgun induced bankruptcy ;)
