N/A Pistol for wife

Bought her a Crossman silhouette for Christmas. I didn’t really look at its specs before buying, I just thought its nice. But before shipping I realized it was single shot. Tried to cancel with amzon but too late. So I gave it to her and then returned.

So I want to get her a replacement. Man I like that Huben but not yet. I have a Reximex rpa which I like. I’ve been looking but not finding.
Pricewise tops $700 ish.

any recommendations that are actually buyable would be appreciated
thanks
Mike

I'm not a pistolero, but am pistol-curious and have been eyeing up the Evanix Viper.

I know Huben it the new darling around here, but I'm not as caught up in the whole power thing and more interested in reliability and ergonomics. If I want power I can always shoot on of my PB handguns.

The Viper looks more balanced... like a conventional handgun to my eye and comes in at a better price. PCP pistols seem way long, tho never having handled one I can't speak from experience on any of this, so my musings may mean nothing.

Not that it fits your price range, but there is also the Tequila Gun which interests me.

I already have several Sheridans, Webleys and a P1 that I really don't shoot, so not sure why I'm even looking...but I am.

Look for a used HW44, AoA or here, usually close to the price you are looking for.
Another vote for the mighty HW44. 12 fpe and 20 shots per fill. 200 bar fill so easy peasy. Left hand friendly. Here is a pair of them. Excellent trigger. My one small complaint is the fill probe. Not a fan of fill probes.

Have you thought to show her what is available and let her pick? It would increase her enjoyment knowing she participated in the process. Not to mention showing you care about her opinion which is never a bad thing.
Good idea, I will.
So far I’m finding unlike rifles there’s not a lot to pick from.
Have looked at everyone’s ideas . Thankyou

Whoa!
Danger ahead!
Next thing you know she won't want to be in the lane next to you at the range

just my c'mon sense

That's actually a very accurate Lothar Walther barreled pistol; could sometimes do, benched, 1 hole (5-shot group) at 25 yards but mine is a carbine.

As you are wanting a magazine, you could buy the UPPER Marauder pistol parts for it, but I'm not too sure if Crosman is receiving orders currently due to their relocation...Parts would cost you sub $150.

Don’t know if that’s praise or insult.
either way thanks
More of a 😉 than anything

Im supposed to have a Viper X in my hands this morning but the USPS didn't come though this time.

When your better half eventually decides she wants an upgrade I should have an honest opinion regarding it if it's possibly on her menu.

It isn't the most talked about pistol, but it checked most of the boxes, minus FPs....which I'm not about this time around.

I’ve been looking. As said I have a Reximex rpa which I’m happy with. I certainly like the Huben and a few others but what it came down to is I’m usually playing with the rifles. So my feelings changed about spending a lot on pistol. Should have got the refurbished gun from Hatsan.

Im not in love w my pistols either. Hopefully a PCP will change my mind.

The VX is the closest thing I could find to my real pistol in terms of size. It's a basement gun & I'm not looking for lethality.

Considered the Velox type options but just know how I am & that I'd probably jones for more.

I'm a bit of a luditte, so won't mind waiting until the next big thing comes out & maybe the Hubens will be in the classifieds a bit more

For a good semi-auto pistol at a good price you still can't beat a Crosman 600 and you can always resell it for what you paid for it in the future.
Since my feels are lukewarm for pistols so far, I even considered going w something like that or going so far as just getting a well made CO2 driven gun. Something like that would've probably been totally adequate.

But PCPs are a hell of a drug

Sorry about the thread hijack too BTW.....

Honestly, I pretty much see CO2, bulk CO2, HPA and PCP as just being variations of the same thing. Air cartridges are something different though, even though they are technically PCPs as well.
