Airgun Technologies Vixen .177

We shot 247 flying rats today. The Vixen got a thorough work out. I usually use Falcons or Hades but I shot CPHPs for the first time and only missed a couple birds by fliers. Really pleased how well it shot the cheap Wallyworld pellets.
That's my hopes is it will like the CPHPs. In the barn it doesn't matter at 15yd max shots but would like to use them further if I can

It arrived today. Tuned at a nice 13fpe right around where I wanted it. Swapped the cocking to right side and threw the 2-12 discovery on it. Hope to sight it in and test pellets/slugs tonight. Noise wise it's very quiet so either I'm just deaf or others are alot more picky to the noise than I am. This gun is going to get alot of use im feeling

Rough sight in on some dirt clods and im 15 pigeons down so far. This gun reminds me of the Uragan as far as cocking. It's been the one gun I can cock with my index finger with hand still on the grip and little effort. Very quick shooting. Thing is I shot 10 in normal shooting where I would've grabbed my Evol. Makes me wonder when I would grab it over this gun with how it performed in that aspect. 13fpe .177 is even alot safer than a 20fpe .22 around the cows.

Are you getting any pass through on pigeons at that tune? What pellets are your shooting?
Depends where I'm hitting them. Body shot none but neck head shot yes. Those were the CPHPs. I'm headed to the yard to test 30yd accuracy with 3 pellets and 1 slug I have. Alittle annoyed as it's been dry but now a skiff of snow just dropped. Gonna get a little wet lol

No surprise JSB 8.4 and 10.3 did best. The groups by the info are 10 shot groups and the others with long arrows were 5 shots. I had a breeze off and on coming from about 1:30 and can see it on the 5 shot group of 8.4gr and 10 shot of 10.3gr. Im very pleased with these results. CPHPs will work perfect for the barn.

Just a FYI, You’re at 13 FPE (177) and I’m at 10 FPE (in 22) and I rarely have pass through with gullet or body shots. I don’t take heads shots often due to fiberglass roofing.
Yeah my Notos is 12fpe .22 and is similar. I don't do head shots in the barn just outside. I doubt I'll shoot the Notos anymore now.

Looks like a shooter . Not bad for your first time out and a new rifle. For me , part of the fun is trying different ammo and getting to know the airgun . I wouldn't give up on mk3s . Mine liked a clean barrel without oil residue and some fowler shots but then produced some nice groups . My Prod puts out 12.5 fpe and has taken many pests without issue . It was my main pester for years.

Yeah I'm sure I'll play around with the MK3s some more but right now more want to just "break it in" so to speak. But I have been learning the last couple years just how good a low powered 12-15fpe gun can really be at pesting. They are so much nicer to shoot, quiet, lots of shots and still deadly

When you get time I'd like to know how many shots you get before falling off the reg? I'm getting 140 but my tune @10 FPE is lower than yours.
I know I got 85 shots from 250-150bar. Looks like 110bar is reg pressure based on specs. I'd guess close to 110 shots on a 250bar fill.
