More general questions

There's questions about, how many of this, or that (sights, shooting sticks, mufflers, etc.) , do you own.

Here's a question -
I like to experiment. Saying that a given item is the "best"...is a useless comment unless you actually have more than a couple, of that item to test that thought with. This is the ONLY way to see what is the "best", for you, of that given item.
So, that said, yeah, I have a "few" more sights than guns. Dot sights, holographic sights, prism sights, and even a few scopes. Trying to learn the intricacies of each brand and design.

SO...the question - How many of you have more sights than guns ?
Or had before you sold some.

I joke about the 2 to 1 ratio, but its not far from the truth.
In the last few years I have been giving scopes away has caused me to drop below 2-1.
That and buying a few guns “Unexpectedly.”

Perfect for me…a casual shooter I have not found it yet.

It’s just dumb. I’m currently trying to reel myself back in. I have several pounds of FX liners with chokes cut off for testing. Not to mention real barrels, bottle regs and other crap. I believe I’m coming full circle after an extended flight over the cuckoo nest.

It’s so bad that when someone hits me with a question, I think I should know the answer. But I have to wait for it to come to me. Maybe an hour later when I’m in the shower or cutting the grass the next day a light suddenly comes on and then I can answer. But on the bright side is now I can quickly recognize quality guns, products or theories that have a high probability of working well.

My logic is to buy at least 2 sights for a gun, figure out which one suits the gun best, then I have to buy another gun because I have an extra sight.

does having a set of factory open sights and also a scope for my airforce Condor SS count? I originally got a scope because I actually prefer open sights but I didn't know they existed.. AOA advertised a set of factory fiber optic open sights and I called them and ordered it that day.
it's back to wearing a scope, I'm a bit more accurate at 50 yards with the scope, but I think it's because for some reason with the glasses off the sights get blurry.. I think those sights better start wearing glasses so they are not blurry because I likely won't change until I have to
all my other guns wear only open sights.

7 scopes on the "bench", 2 off active rifles that are in maintenance/upgrade. Plus one still in box (CVLife Bearswift 5-25x56) that arrived Tuesday. Plus all the boxes...

Couple on the right are junk that came with rifles from mfg.

I question an individual when he/she posts that a particular gun/scope/pellet/whatever is "the best". How do they know that unless they have personally sampled them ALL?
Not to mention the fact that different folks have different tastes/needs/opinions.
