Pinch me!!! I must be dreaming. Scored 2 FX Royale 400 within a week : a walnut stock .22 from AoA in excellent condition and another walnut stock .22 from Gunstar w/an extra synthetic stock in excellent condition. Next up a FX Royale 500. A must, a walnut stock.

People who've never experienced one just DON'T KNOW what a remarkable & superb platform this is. We don't need no stinking bells & whistles! BTW, there was an ad by "tstrever" that had BOTH a walnut Royale and a walnut Royale stock for sale (among many others).

If they are early production guns like mine was I suggest replacing all the OR's, including in the reg, ASAP, because the OR's in mine were trashed. Also while at it thoroughly clean out all the internal mechanisms. Be careful because the valve will suddenly release when pushed on and then go flying out of the gun onto the floor. I have to learn everything the hard way so rebuilding mine was one step forwards and two steps back, but hey I finally got it all figured out.

Not sure but i think you can convert a 400 .22 to a 500 .25 . Not till you get into the .30 boss that things arent compatable.

The 33.95 MK2 at 840 or so are fantastic, as are the 25.39 variants, the Hades is incredibly accurate as well in the 900 FPS range. I love the old FX Smooth Twist guns but might start thinning the collection down, I picked up a few over the past couple of months and they deserve to be shot and not sit....

You're lucky, I sold my two 400's a while back and even tried getting one back. I do think they're the best airgun ever built, bar none.
The Crown is an extension of the Royale, with external adjustments, and a liner system. I like it a bit better.
