Zulus LRF

My laser range finder Zulus 520R is off by exactly 10 yards at 100 verified.
Measures all distances 10 yards too long IE: 96 Y shows 106 Y
Anyone know a quick fix?
Using dnt app? It defaults back to metric pretty often and you have to check your specs before syncing. Maybe fudge the zero distance or velocity.. I don't know if it matters if the range it tells you is correct so long as it hits where it solves for

If that had been the case the 96 yards would show like 87.. It's showing exactly 10 yards more than it is. Even does it at 20 yards showing 30 yards.

My rangefinder is off a little also. I called them last week. Waiting on a return call. I really like this device but the rangefinder is not precise enough for an airgun. It would be excellent on a powder burner. In the mean time, because I didn’t buy it to shoot stuff at just 75 yards, I’ve been adjusting my scope height and speed to compensate. I believe I’m close enough to just keep the unit I have. The alternative is a conveyor belt of these things traveling back and forth from Texas until I’m either satisfied or take up smoking meth.

I’m back to report that mine is dialed in so I won’t return it. Just smacked a red squirrel right in the noggin at 103 yards. I ranged it with the scope and let the scope compensate. Hit right where I was aiming. Finally. If my range finder is off by a couple yards yet my gun hits where I’m aiming, I can live with it.

I wonder if there's a way to flash it or correct the code with one of the updates. None of my friend groups zulus had the latest firmware, neither did mine. I'm the only one that's updated. I hope to see what you learn. Take care.

It was made for air guns but can be used on PB, you may have to play around with the BC. You can have 2 different 25 cal pcps and shoot the same pellet or slug and have different power level that will change the speed of the ammo, and it will change the BC, https://hardairmagazine.com/ballistic-coefficients/ This is what i use to get closer to a BC or you can adjust the BC numbers until your happy with the POI.

There's a video on YT that for some reason I cannot find anymore. But it explains that if at short distances your POI is higher than your POA you need to adjust the distance between optic and barrel and vice versa. From there, it's easier to later on.Verify longer distances by adjusting air BC. I'm happy to hear you got it solved!

I have the current issue of my buddies Zulus LRF working, but not calculating poi. And the device won't allow me turn on the settings.

That’s how I tightened the last bit out of my POI vs POA. I played with the speed first. Then out of desperation I adjusted what was entered as scope height. After a little BC, speed and height adjustments I got it dialed.

Nice, I finally solved my issue with the Thermnight which was the same as yours. Except I was incorrectly measuring from barrel to thermal lens rather than digital lens 🙃 I could've saved hours of time last week and ammo.
