Don’t get too wound up about velocity…give it a chance. It’s a great choice! Enjoy JohnI got it today and it looks fantastic, no pics yet. They sent a sheet of the fps and stuff and I am a tad disappointed, it was shooting H&N FTT 11.42 just under 700 fps. I thought it'd sling them out around 800. It does have a Maccari tune kit, so that might have something to do with it.
Anyway, it looks brand new to me.
just from what i read i would guess it is shooting that speed because the Manccary kit installed to make the gun smoother more pleasant to shoot . to me you got a good gun . You said 780 from your crono that would be a whole 20 FPE less than 800 FPE .. unnoticeable when shooting it .I got it out today and shot it some thru a chrono that ain't too good. I'm going to return it because it will read up to about 780fps but I think it won't read anything over 800fps. Not good for my Beeman R9 .177 and HW50S .177.
Anyway, it cocks very smooth and shoots even smoother. So quiet without all the twang, much more enjoyable to shoot.
I should have clarified, the 780 fps was with my HW50S in .177 caliber. I used different pellet weights and the chrono would register most under 780 but either an error or wouldn't register with lighter pellets or closer.just from what i read i would guess it is shooting that speed because the Manccary kit installed to make the gun smoother more pleasant to shoot . to me you got a good gun . just my opinion
Great rifle in .20 , you will love it .I got it out today and shot it some thru a chrono that ain't too good. I'm going to return it because it will read up to about 780fps but I think it won't read anything over 800fps. Not good for my Beeman R9 .177 and HW50S .177.
