Head shot thread

My dog chased this one off a few nights ago and I was worried she was injured the noise that came from the dark yard. Luckily she was unscathed. So I turned the notifications on. He spooked off yesterday night before I got a shot, not so lucky this evening.
Snowpeak P35 25 cal 35 FPE with 25gr FX pellets. 18 yards. Pard DS35. The IR light is from a spotlight the illuminates most of my yard.

Fantastic shot and video! Glad your pup wasn't hurt!

Great shot with the KO's and nice pics! Split it's CPU in half! I think you found THE SLUG it likes!
This is actually one of the slugs it likes lol. It really likes these, also the VK .22gr and the most accurate I have seen out to distance has been the 28.5gr

Thank you!

I want to try these in a few other rifles. These are excellent slugs in terms of expansion and accuracy, specially for the price. I don't like that they are so similar to the VK, the only difference I have come to find between them is the base of the slug and that these have a slightly deeper hollow point.

The last critter at my friends place, shot just about 2 weeks ago.
Nothing dare to come out now, well at least not in the way of mice or rats.
Since then 0 activity detected on the CCTV camera that monitor the feeding spot.

Last rat i shot mid December, and this last one was a baby mouse, only 2 inches or so long ( body )
Judging by video i think i caved in its skull rather than punching a hole in it, CUZ flipping the corpse a few times for the photo there was very little in the way of body fluids.

It do also get flung to the side rather violently by the 13 grain Zan slug @ 27 fp.

We will soon be putting up a sign by the roadside of a rat with a crosshair on it, and maybe a text saying " ingen rotter her " meaning no rats here.
Maybe someone is brave enough to let a couple of die hard unlicensed pesters help a little with their pest problem.
