Zulus heavy to the left?

Took the day off to do a few 'me' things and one was finally getting the Zulus HD 5-20x zeroed - no LRF. I didn't do the easy zero, the slow way and that took awhile. I had to move windage a lot to the left as it seemed extremely heavy to the left. So is this compensation needed because of the 850nm IR illuminator weighted on the left side of the unit which affects getting to zero?

Rail to barrel alignment. On my m3, almost dead zero windage on 2 different units. On a zelos way right, both units. Then on an RTI, heavy left on it. Different guns different alignment.
