Moderator approval for a basic post response to another members post?

I just posted a very basic, non insulting, non controversial response to another member’s post. It was flagged as “ waiting for moderator approval before it’s seen by anyone? What on earth is this about? No mention of dust collectors, no claiming any brand is inferior, what’s the deal??

I had similar before, twice actually, and it was a random (and benign) word that tripped the algorithm. Mods squared it away in short order.

Similar experience here….BUT, I figured it was political related because a previous poster had insinuated a current hotly debated political slant, and I totally agree with keeping politics off the forum.

Have you considered contacting the moderator directly?
The privacy a PM offers could have better chance of a reply than open forum

The spam filter catches parts of words as well as whole words. We keep a pretty close eye on the approval queue and will move on innocent posts asap.

There was nothing for the algorithm to catch? Hence the inquiry.

Thank you. But with all respect, what on earth caught the attention of the algorithm? Sure, I have flubbed in the past. Hence I've been pretty meticulous about my wording to avoid such issues.

Generally, AGN won't address specific trigger words. The whole "don't talk about fight club..." There is a man's performance enhancement prescription brand that is contained in one of the words in your post. Part of words get caught in the filter, ipso Facto, some innocent posts are delayed for a short time.

It is a very small price to pay to keep the spammers off AGN. When was the last time you saw any of those posts?
