Via some Wheeling and Dealing i procured a very nice OLD school thimble style TM1000X with what i think is a Benchmark Barrel.

Came with a ol school Weaver scope..... damn....the reticle is thinner than a fleas eye lashes.
This scope made me realize how wiggly my fold down shooters table is. :{

Because the Benchmark barrel was a unique O.D. @ 19 mm i had to have a custom 1/2" UNF moderator adapter made before i could shoot my cannon. Otherwise too loud for my backyard neighborhood. I just googled custom adapter: https://www.suppressor-thread-adapter.com/

Shown with the Silent Thunder Ordnance Sarissa High flow - she's a quiet gal. Phhht.

Results from this mornings site in with JSB 18.13's at 25 meters shown in last picture.

That's a beauty!
Very similar to the one i own, but the barrel on mine is a cut-rifle barrel not a Benchmark
about the same diameter...mine is19.25mm
Had it made by Martin back in 2013 and it is very accurate
Scored a couple of 250's on 25 yard BR over at LD's place with it ...never letting it go

Haven’t chronographed yet… tested for functionality and zero today. As for specs on barrel etc… I’m not sure of all its details yet.

@Motorhead - Since I just got the scope mounted and moderator installed I honestly think it had to do with initial setup, settling in. After the initial zeroing it seemed like I was getting the guns internals moving again. The barrel was pretty clean.
I also became very aware that my indoor bench needs to be more rock solid As the high power weaver scope magnifies my jitters, so I focused on my postural discipline.

I do recall reading numerous times that the original person who contracted benchmark to manufacture the 2 groove design was to have proprietary access, that I recall was violated and barrels were back door-ed out to some others.
The original tooling was getting used and worn to a point where the QC and accuracy of the process in making them was faltering and later barrels struggled to meet accuracy of the early ones manufactured, Or something to that degree ???

Now CLOSE is TJ's in KY, they make a 4 groove in .177 that shoots pellets really well, and Troy Hammer has contracted them to make 3 groove barrels in .22 that shoots very well. So there are some options if one wishes to go down this rabbit hole.

Here's the RAW HM1000x LRT that I bought from a friend that originally was built by Martin when he owned the company. It was an early production 1000x action and I bought it in 2018. It had a beautiful walnut stock which are not available anymore. Stupidly, I sold it.
