What pistol did you shoot today

I have not tried to contact any paintball company's yet....because of the thickness of some paints.. there are a few critical dimension that would have to be taped off... I met and showed the part to the head guy at Light Metals 50 years in the business...Tried Mad Pig Customs...for Cerakote and Liberty Coatings...not happen...and friend suggest Plastic Dip...and I don't know enough about Hydro Dipping...I would like it just to be close in color... but not like a bad paint job on a car that wasn't blended..looks good from straight view till the car goes down the road...lol

For anodized parts, there are several paintball shops that do standard or custom anodizing, so that would be your best bet.

It came with a warped wooden grip, PA did send a complete plastic grip and butt stock for it. Some how the grip angle does not fit me well, so I'll make an aluminum grip frame and use a 1911 style grip panel. I also finished the trigger job on it last week, finally shortened the sear bar to reduce crept. I put a much lighter trigger shoe spring and cut one full coil on the sear spring, Breaks at 1# 2 oz.
BTW love that beautiful Lab pup you got. Time to call it a night shop is getting too cold, lol.

Hi... It's Marker...I keep looking at your RPA...Question...is that a Pistol Scope..or is a rifle scope with a 3" eye relief...and is that scope only being held on just by the rear mount only and is the front mount there just for show ...just Curious

Yes it is a rifle scope. I only put it on to mockup and see if a pp750 rear scope dove tail would work. I end up using a fixed 4X scope with parallax adjustment down to 5 yards, it has 7-9'' eye relief, so a Taco hold is required.

Back to the KWC P08 today.
Like the real thing, this has heaps of moving parts so I drown it in grease and oil.
Initially the accuracy was a bit disappointing but after switching to Barra Zinc Plated BBs I'm seeing 1" groups at 10 yards with a fresh cartridge. Much better now.

All these Lugers eventually suffer from the dreaded "loose barrel shroud" issue, Fortunately this is easily fixed by gluing the shroud in place with JB Weld.
I got a few extra mags for rapid firing ... swapping out a mag after 10 shots to let it warm up again.

Not sure if this makes any difference, but .... before I load a new cartridge I add the requisite drop of oil to the top of the cartridge AND add another drop straight into the valve (by depressing the valve by hand. Again, *before* tightening the cartridge).

That looks very nice now…did you happen to see the dovetail to picatinny adapters I posted…I ordered a new Factory case last one in stock for all my accessories..should be here soon…Sited in all aiming devices…did a quick dismount and mount nothing changed spot on…here’s a preview of the Rattler…

They made so many versions…these two were my favorites…they were a excellent gun but like most german guns they made …they had close tolerances so a little dirt and you were shooting blanks…and are sloppy 1911‘s knocked the down like bowling pins

Agreed! The Germans made some beautiful gear but it was a bit too sensitive to dirt, sand, grime, etc. And expensive to make.
Ahh, but so much fun to shoot 🙂
I must admit that while I slather mine in lube for general plinking, I will wipe it down to minimum lube if I take it out into the woods. Ditto for most of my other guns

My choice of weapons for the walk in the woods would be my slingshot with 38 cal steel ball bearings..most people would dismiss they as a weapon…they would be wrong…they can kill…I have hit soda cans @ 100 yards…most people couldn’t hit that can with a scoped rifle…lol…they all need to be rebranded…That will be my ..what did you shoot today story…I made this slingshot box for those late night shots.. try not to hit the plates …kinda wakes up the neighbors…lol

Being an ex-aircraft mechanic from the USN, if you ever get to listen a Merlin V12 in a P51 Mustang up close, that Sir is music to my ears. Far better than the drone of a turbojet engine.

Hi it’s marker…correct me if I am wrong…but this is what I heard…that if you are going to store a Co2 gun for a lengthy period…that you should keep it under pressure to keep the O-rings healthy

I used to work at the factory in Nottinghamshire where the first four P51 prototypes were built, I am also very fond of the sound of Merlin and Griffon engines, makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck...

exactly what is the scope i have been looking and asking for a few years for a scope like this .
