ammo tec exit scam

Did anyone else purchase a M 50 pump action kit on back order from a company called ammo tec, only to get ripped off when they abruptly took their website off line and disappeared?
Does anyone know how i can get my money back from them? Have they really disappeared, or did they change their name or something? I know its a long shot but was just hoping someone has had the same experience and knows what to do about it.

If paid by cc. Authorize a stop payment. If PayPal goods and services, same thing citing vendor failure to provide. If PayPal F&F - your SOL. Same with Venmo.
Right on, i thought about that but i recently made a claim on my credit card, and thought they'll probably deny me. But i was gonna try it if all else failed. Really i was just hoping i was mistaken that they were no longer in business.

Eesh...you guys get a lot of scams in this hobby? The whole reason I found this place is because I'm hoping AEA Precision isn't trying to rip me off.

Good luck, man. I hope you get your money back. Damn shame either way
I responded to your other thread. I’m not sure on that company. Numerous places to buy aea I am familiar with but not that one. I hope they are legit. I see on their website they have a Facebook group ? They are on instagram as well. Have you tried to reach them on those platforms? I have a rule of thumb. No number that I can call and reach somebody = a company/person I won’t deal with.

I'm having a difficult time right now with an internet vendor. My rule in my business, the product is invoiced when I ship, never prior. I am not commenting on the vendor the OP purchased from. Retired now, I am old school.
Some "vendors" in this and other online sales venues is one guy on his laptop in his easy chair. Drop shippers. By hook or by crook they gain access to wholesale distributors. Amazon promotes drop shipping as a means that manufacturer's can sell direct while totally concealing the direct sales. I've sat through the presentation by an Amazon rep, I ended their presentation with, Why would I screw my business partners? Yes, I am old school.
My problem vendor ran my card two weeks ago, I have no product, and no firm ship date. This vendor uses the manufacturer to drop ship the item. I must just wait, unique item. You can bet I will rebuild the old item and avoid doing this again.

AEA is not a scam they are good people, i bought my M 50 directly from them and they gave me a good deal and threw in a free folding stock. Im referring to a third party vender who created a modification for the m 50, took. Lot of orders when supply was out, but never came back with it and went out of business apparently.
