Looking for a replacement reg for my Prophet. I see the Ninja Flex out there as a good choice. Are there any lower priced options that you guys are using that have worked well?

RTI Prophet Regulator Options?

If you know what set point you want, the non adjustable regs from RTI work quite well and they don’t cost much. They are still adjustable but that’s a whole different topic. I also have another ninja style bottle reg but I can’t remember where I got it but it was cheap. If you do go with some econo reg, just make sure they didn’t skimp on threads on this end of the reg. Some cheapo regs don’t have enough threads on this side and you don’t want your bottle and reg to become a projectile.

You will need to order shims to adjust the set point. Unfortunately I’m at a friends house about to watch the Tyson……thing. So I can’t tell you the shims you need to order from McMaster. I’ll try to remember to get some out and take a pic of what you’ll need. Unless someone who shares the knowledge of shimming these regs chimes in first.
