Took A Coyote That Was Threatening My Dog

Over the past few years a family of coyotes has become resident in my very suburban neighborhood. Over the same time my sightings of raccoons, possum and skunks has decreased. Suprisingly, the number of cats is still high, but then again, neighbors are always fostering strays. At least the...

HW/Weihrauch Is This the HW30s’ Biggest Weakness?

That type of sight (I see them on my HW and the pile of Hatsans) wiggles, but usually returns to the same place after being wiggled. If not, maybe check the mounting screws? But as jkingrph said, aperature (peep) sights are more solid, and I find them easier to be more accurate. Some may...

    D-Lead heavy metal hand soap

Yeah, how many of us remember what lead actually tastes like?

    D-Lead heavy metal hand soap

Interesting, I looked up the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for D-Lead Hand Soap, because I'm into that kind of thing, and because they often tell the ingredients of the product. If found two MSDSs, one from back in 2011 when the ingredient was a chemical called sodium dodecylbenzene...

    How much clearance?

How is the accuracy? Air strippers have about that level of clearance.

Airforce AirForce Talon valve won't seat in Huben Max-ATH Universal Regulator

I like to run Airforce's CO2 adapter for backyard use and it adds an extra few inches. The length of pull is so long that I sit the paintball bottle on my shoulder, bazooka style. Feel like a kid again.

    Diana Diana 250 accuracy issues

I have one of those, an earlier 250 in .22 with the coil spring. I understand the newer ones might have gas springs. At any rate it was still shooting harsh and shotgun-like after a tin of pellets, so I took it apart, swapped the heavy piston top hat for a lighter one with less preload (I shoot...

Airforce Regulator Choice for Airforce Talon SS

It may be that the spin-loc doesn't really need a set screw if one tightens it enough. But that tight might be more than the little spanner wrench that comes with the spin-loc can handle, especially for loosening it again someday.

N/A PCP Hold, does it matter?

Is it the same shot number(s) from the magazine that are flyers? For example, load a fresh magazine and shots number 3 and 6 are often flyers, but the others go to one hole?

    Pyramid Air refurbished

Almost all the guns I have from them are refurbished. I think a few might be even better than new, with a little extra love from their repair shop.

Hatsan Hatsan 130 QE, .30 CAL.

There was the Browning 800Mag pistol that had a cocking extension https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2010/06/browning-800-mag-part-5/?srsltid=AfmBOopE9Ab8qaRdQOO_PqZOpWC0IhNdqh--NtwaCA3kcZQus8C_NIXH It was made from some strong plastic. I just left it attached to the end of the barrel all the time...

    Airforce Talonp .25cal

I played around swapping bottles/valves between one gun with the -P can and another TalonSS with the Sound-loc baffles, so same power (in this case only 35 fpe) but different moderation: the SS with Sound-loc was noticeably quieter, "backyard quiet". The -P can was like the 12" barrel in an 18"...

    N/A Close range pesting pistol

I like my Hatsan Mod25 "Supercharger", it's pest-accurate (half-inch) in my wobbly hands to 5 yards, and to 10 with any kind of support or rest. Open sights, LDC, easy to work on or "tune", reliable, adjustable good trigger, if not great. Looks like they have the spring (the better) version for...

    Advice needed on caliber selection

I shoot the unleaded pellets in all calibers. 100 yards ain't gonna happen in .177 or .22. Maybe in .25, and only then if your gun happens to like one of the two offerings, Baracuda Green or GTO. One is currently 15 cents a pellet and the other 20 cents. Why do you need to reach 100 yards to...

    Airgun Letter by Tom Gaylord

How about scanning and posting them, for posterity? You wouldn't get all that money for them that you would selling at an airgun show, but then the world could read and thank you for sharing them. I'm thinking that whoever holds copyright would have to agree (probably Mr. Gaylord), we'd have...
