N/A Daytate Huntsman Revere Regulated Safari

I really like bolt action models too. They don’t interfere with scope wheels and easy to use. Hoping they get popular again. I am also lefty.

    The ol' shooting jacket question.

I have a Creedmore hard back and it’s a good jacket. It’s stiff, heavy, and if in TX it’s hot. Light jackets are worthless. If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, or semi close, then go see Neal Stepp at ISS. He has piles of shooting jackets in the $150-$200 range. You can try on plenty...

N/A Daytate Huntsman Revere Regulated Safari

I would get .177. Plenty of pellet choices, cheaper, shoots flatter, and will take out anything an air rifle was design for. Great rifle choice.

A shout out to All Lefties...

”Left handed, left eye dominant. I vote with my funds and only purchase air pistols and air rifles designed or fitted for lefties. Life is too short to compromise.” Quote from above. I am also left hand, left eye dominate and feel the same way.

Events 2025 Republic of Texas April 25-27

This would be a great match to come and check out if you have never shot FT. That said if you have studied the sport and have a good understanding of the rules and what is going on don’t be scared off. I shot the world championship back in November and the first day was squadded with a guy who...

4-H Junior FT attempt a flop

Sounds like a rule written that doesn’t really apply to FT targets (as the rule committee doesn’t even know FT targets or the sport even exists) and FT targets gets lumped into steel speed shooting targets. I get it that 4H May be leary of little kids running and gunning with hi-cap 9mm pistols...

    Distance between lane stakes

Thanks. Not looking for distance between lanes. Distance between the two stakes on the lane. Looks like AFFTA doesn’t have a rules on this. As Leo said WFTF it’s a 1 meter minimum. When you coming back to Texas Leo? Miss not having you out here shooting with us.

    Distance between lane stakes

I looked thru the AAFTA rules to see if the was a minimum/maximum distance between lane stakes and I’d not see anything. I thought there was a rule for this. I went and read the WFTF rules and they have a one meter minimum spacing between lane stakes rule. I don’t really care if there is an...

Recomendations for setting up new GX CS2

Figured you saw it but wanted to make sure. I use Makita batteries so I just bought the battery powered GX CS2. i think you will find you will never need to hook it up to a car battery if you have milwaukee batteries. I would just get the battery powered CS2 and swap in a Milwaukee base plate...

    GX EL portable cordless compressor?

I have the single battery EL2. All my cordless tools are 18v Makita so I knew I had to have one. It’s great. Fills my rifle in a little over two minutes and barely gets warm to the touch. The great thing is that it is small. Much smaller than a carbon tank and lighter. So much easier to...

    Question on GX CS4

I first bought the battery powered GX to take a the road as the tank is big and heavy. The E-L2 battery compressor is small. I liked it so much I bought a GX CS4i for my main fill compressor at the house. I haven’t touched my tank since. I figure if I use the compressors to fill the rifles...

    Question on GX CS4

Do you need a tank? I have a really nice CF tank but now just fill the rifles directly from the pump. Sure is simple and I don’t have to worry about blowing up a pump.

Elevated targets on Field Target course

I built these. I had four of them at my Granbury club. I had satellite dishes at the top as a backstop. I concrete the 4x4 post at the bottom. Then it just pivoted to lower it down to put the target on. Arlington used my idea and built some for their range. Works really well.
