Seems like anything under 100 yards everyone says the slugs are no better than the pellets. I will be interested to see how they work for you, I only shoot 50 yards BR and I am always chasing that one whole group.

I tried out the Koi today on my RAW 25cal and it def made a difference. It may not be backyard quiet, but it tamed it down nicely. According to my DB app on my phone there was a 6db reduction with the Koi. I noticed a slight POI shift but it did not change my group sizes, so I am happy.

My iPhone seems to be picking up good. I saw a max measurement of 117db but I also saw a much higher C weighted reading that I find very hard to believe, that is why I asked what weight I should be using.

I got a couple moderators in the mail today and wanted to see how much they quiet my rifle down. I downloaded an app and wonder if there is a standard distance the mic should be placed from the muzzle for the test? There is a setting for frequency weights, A, C and Z, anyone know which should be...

When I first started sorting I sorted by weight only and had some good results. I was then told I was wasting my time and to sort by head size instead. after many tests it seems to me that weight is more important than head size….at least in my limited testing.

I ended up going with the Koi, I hope I don’t have the same experience as you did with it. I miss being able to buy them on this site but I understand the decision.

I saw that last week and thought it was weird. Still plenty of sites that have them in stock.

Thanks for the feedback, I figured the Tatsu and the Koi would be close. I am just not sure the fatter, 1.6" diameter Tatsu or Sumo will look right hanging off the end of the RAW.

I know the Sumo might be a little quieter, but the size and weight is also a little more than the Koi. With the thin, floating barrel on the RAW rifle I am thinking the thinner but slightly longer Koi might look a little more uniform but still do a good job. The RAW rifle I bought did not come...
