Not a stock builder, but I am a woodworker. Perhaps make a template out of 1/4-3/8 inch stock to match the end of the stock, or better yet, the aluminum mount (as @marflow 777 mentions, it is not flush). Use a template router bit to cut out an endgrain 1" piece. You may want (or need) to leave a...
Beautiful day but too windy for precision. Seemed like a good choice would be my .22 springers, AA Prosport and HW 35e. Both were great despite the wind. Knocked all my chickens, turkeys, pigs, and rams silly ;-)
Thanks, Ed. I don’t have the skill to tune a PCP to do what yours do. So I compensate by choosing guns that, at least theoretically, should shoot straight out of the box. And don’t require complete disassembly to change a hammer spring. That is intimidating. I give you due credit. If it’s any...
Stormy all day, but once the storms passed the wind laid down and I had time for one card. Shot my FX 500 Royale. I have a simple single shot tray on order, that might get me another point or two. 197 12X (wrote 11X but crossed out the wrong one). And to top it off AoA called me and said my .177...
A nice, warm day with some time to shoot...unfortunately very windy. Despite the wind, pellet tested my new FWB 300 at 30 yds. At least narrowed down my choices to 3. Not as smooth or as accurate as my FWB 150, I expected it to be *twice* as good all around ;-). Still an excellent rifle, the...
It's been too windy for any precision shooting (with my skills). I did get a new-to-me rifle that I was dying to shoot. A beautiful FX 500 Royale. Took awhile to sort out high enough scope rings to clear the mag. Despite wind gusts to 20+, sighted it in and shot a couple cards with my only two...
It's a great pistol. Very accurate with a great trigger. It doesn't come with a rear sight. Many use a red dot or pistol scope to take advantage of that accuracy. I bought mine thinking that it would scratch my itch for a true 10 meter target pistol. I didn't, therefore the others in the photo...
Got this delivered today, used from AoA. Really an amazing replica, not that I have ever shot the original. Solid, heavy, and smooth. Relatively accurate for what it is, especially rested. This one is a keeper...Cheers! Rick
Crosman 1701P, any high quality 10 meter competition pistol. I have an FWB P8X. Baikal 46M (not a PCP), it is amazing. I would like to try a GK1 but I really don't need that much oomph ;-) All are .177.
So, I was lucky to get a great deal on an FWB 300S. Gun Broker...never used it before but happy with my first experience. Purchased from a seller called "the Attic". I bought the same rifle from our classifieds a few weeks ago. The seller had "seller's remorse" and backed out of the deal. I...
Sorry for your troubles. We have hurricanes that do less damage...But I had some time after the rain stopped to shoot two of my favorites, .177 TX200 and HW95 with a custom CS thumbhole. They were both on fire!
Rainy today so I shot these two in my garage. Shot them off hand, both two handed and one handed, Olympic style. I forgot how accurate the Crosman 157 and 150 can be. I had to shoot them rested, though, to prove it ;-).
No ice storms down here, just a bit overcast. Took out 2 of my easy going favorites, .177 HW 30 and .177 FWB 150. Hard to miss despite a side wind. The HW 30 was ready to rock, check out the fps on that first shot. Evil ;-).
